I'm almost kind of jealous for the people who grew up in South Korea or Japan just because it looks like an amazing environment for childhood, but life afterward seems too depressing to make it worthwhile.
Very ironic coming from a Korean. Do you even ever has seen a black or a Muslim?
I am envious of a society without annoying people that hate you without sane reason
Do you people believe he's from Korea? stop posting
He doesn't have to be for us to discuss the topic, you know.
I'm envious about the whole walking around 3 am, and going shopping overnight.
You can't do that in cities here, only small towns, where everything closes earlier.
>it looks like an amazing environment for childhood
America is the outlier here.
need to read that manga some day that elf is very cute
I have to agree with you there, give me childhood in northern minnesota any day
For not having a great childhood, or for having a great childhood? I don't understand.
The northern states seem like nice places to live but you never hear much about them.
For not having a great childhood.
I agree with you then. The suburbs are a really sad place to raise your child. Why? There's no natural beauty left, nor are you close enough to the city to enjoy the fun of that. In manga it makes you jealous to see people talk about summers as a childhood where they went around the nice fields and beautiful streets listening to cicadas and feeling the wind, and I imagine a lot of Europe has similar wonderful things that kids really enjoy. Here, I had the good fortune of a little creek in my backyard with a small wooded area, so all the neighborhood kids would come hang out on the bridge and jump from rock to rock, and we'd see turtles and fish and such in the Spring. I think I would've been way worse off if not for that. Just a kind of lighthearted stillness and fun in somewhere pretty is what children deserve, but here it's pretty sparse.
it's for the best, wouldn't want them popular
t. Flyover
Is Georgia flyover?
Almost all of Sweden would be considered "rural" by US standards. I grew up in a small town of about 1000-2000 people and I was surrounded by nature all the time which looking back was really nice. We even went on trips and such with school.
Guess that's true.
Depends where
i agree abotu the suburbs. and georgia is flyover unless you live in atlanta
my country has 57% inflation
agreed desu
