But this is not true user, their officer corps were the only thing that the Germans were indisputably better during the war than everyone else, in all other feats (engineering, logistics, generalship, long term planning) by a certain point of the war they were completely blown out of the water by the Allies.

The k/d ratio thing also completely fails to take into account that:

1) A good 50% of the casualties of the war were Allied civilians, in comparison only 7% were Axis civilians.
2) The way Allied forces and the Germans accounted for casualties is not comparable, they had different standards and metrics.
3) The way Germans treated POWs was absurdly bad, 47-ish% of German POWs in Soviet captivity died, this is bad, but in comparison, around 60% of Soviet POWs in German captivity died, this despite the fact that Germany wasn't the country that was getting invaded and lost most of its industry and agriculture in the early stages of the war.
