There are still a few native Breton speakers and there are efforts to preserve it. Mostly they let them die due to 20th century nationalism, then the rise of mass media.
Same reason French and German speakers are dying in the US and the Celtic languages in Great Britain are dying.
Some experts say Icelandic will be a dead language in the next 100 years. Unless more media is dubbed in those languages and it has phone support it will be gone. I'd wager that within the next 200 years, English, Chinese Spanish, and French will be pretty much the only languages left
