why do 99% of the best bands and artists come out of the anglosphere?
Why can’t any other countries produce great music?
Like seriously I can barely think of any exceptions, do Arcade Fire count as french? Maybe Bjork I guess? I like rammstein too but they they don’t compare to bands like the Stones, Beatles, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, the Doors, etc
>best bands Who gets to decide which are the best? My favourite band is Chinese.
Matthew Jones
most other musicians from foreign countries dont get American attention but instead stay within their borders/general region America spreads it's filthy pop bullshit worldwide
France has made some good shit but it's weird and mostly not well known. And no Arcade Fire are American and Quebecois.
Juan Jones
Based Vijay. Radiohead is GOAT.
Jose Evans
Ireland isn't Anglosphere? They have made good music, if you ignore U2.
Mason King
Anglo music is pop music like you listed and will of course be very recognizable since it's in English and has mass appeal. Except for Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin the bands you listed don't really have any special musical talent you couldn't find elsewhere.
Zachary Perez
Röyksopp is tight, and an old friend of mine (an American) was the drummer for Combichrist for a while but he has MS and is no longer able to play. That's what I know of Norway off the top of my head.
Kevin Flores
The best english songs are from a swedish group
Gabriel White
I often listen to the aha melodies
William Kelly
>don’t know Varg or Euronymous
???
Jayden Smith
Tonal language + hip hop = ???
Hudson Brown
Well there are a couple of international people like Kygo and Alan Walker you would have heard on the radio, though Norwegian music rarely reaches international fame.
Varg is a terrible musician who made 2 good songs and about 300 horrible songs.
Landon Rodriguez
Most countries enjoy a healthy mix of local music and anglosphere stuff, you're monolingual so you don't really get to choose. That being said the brits were excepcionally good at making modern music when they were at their prime.
Hudson Hughes
The best melodic death metal comes from Finland and Sweden.
Is this the most American post on Jow Forums right now?
Logan Rodriguez
I agree.
Christian Cooper
Literal Gen X-er spotted. Don't you have a fucking life outside this chink site full with underage aspies?
Adam Stewart
I recognise this band‘s name. Their band hoodies are usually worn by obvious incels.
Ian Phillips
I meant that's what I know and like, but I guess I wasn't clear. I can't do black metal but the history/lore is fun to read about just for the weirdness of it.
Henry Clark
I'm not OP but I'm also gen-X and no, I'm afraid I don't.
Brayden Gray
Amen
Anthony Flores
Sounds like the most generic alternative/pseudo indie rock I've ever heard.
