>landed my first proper, well paying white collar job a while ago >started treating all people in services (shop staff, taxi drivers, barbers etc) worse than the shit on my shoe
The feeling of superiority is almost better than the money.
people hat the class just below themselves, and try to emulate the class one level above.
Wyatt Perez
Probably the opposing way. Why the need to hate if you made it anyway? It just shows that you still have issues, poor user
Jason Clark
i do this too i purposefully use the self-checkout and self-ordering stations at restaurants and grocery stores out of spite for underachieving normals and i never leave even a penny for tip they'd have a higher paying job if they knew any better
People need to know that I'm better than them and that they aren't as successful as me.
>i purposefully use the self-checkout I always do this too, I always get treat like shit by the clown who IDs me though.
Jaxon Sanders
These people will most likely be in the same dead-end jobs with nothing to show for it, no ability to save, living out their whole lives essentially as NPCs. The least you can do is be friendly to them and make their day a little less shitty, OP.
>People need to know that I'm better than them genuinely feel sorry for you because it's really evident that you're not better in any way imaginable than for example my friendly neighborhood spic grocer

You think you're high on power now you should like 4 days a week and try a basic steroid cycle. Even the mildest steroid will make you a walking god in comparison to the weak fat faggots that plague the earth.
You can handle a little pinch in your shoulder to become superior to all others right user?
Checked. I changed my phone number, moved in other city and started to avoid contact with other people as much as I could. I plan to buy a caravan and just go places. Hate hotels also.
Jackson Williams
Steroids have a lot of side effects, especially on your balls, but dick won't change.

I think a miggle class fag can spot you being a new comer. As an upper middle class (both parents are making low six figures) I can really notice who comes from same class level as me and my parents (mostly following the parental job, hence so many doctors being sons of doctors) and those whose parents are lower middle blue collar yet by luck and/or hardwork they find themselves in the top 15% income earners. Few of my observations -Conspicious consumption, constantly buying new and mostly "status" showing objects, apple, beats, patek philippe etc -Huge status anxiety. The doctors who really need to tell everyone in the room that they are ""doctors"" belong to this neue uppermiddle class. -Their talk almost in one way or other goes back to how much money they make -They designate your status mostly based on how much money you make and your status with regards to your job. They treat their "inferiors" like shit. They also cower before their superiors more. -Tendency towards right wing voting. I think this is due to the established upper middle class being overwelmingly liberal. -Huge desire to be classified as rich even though they are not. The desire to show off their wealth comes in the form of trying to imitate the filthy rich. They start from middle-upper middle class bullshittery like wine tasting, but move on to shit like art collecting as if they are rockefellers. Some slick art majors do scam them a lot.
Class is an interesting concept but I do believe one can see who are the new comers to their class. Very simialr to how neue riche do stand out in the elite circles, and the most chill filthy rich are those who have their wealth for 2-3 generations.

Im running a saas product for lawyers. It's hard traction and desu it doesn't make much but I don't need to work which is by far the best thing of all. I wouldn't trade this for any salary.

>Conspicious consumption Check, I really like Rolex watches, but I don't enjoy the waiting lists so I only have two.
>Huge status anxiety It's not anxiety to want to make people aware of how much cash you have.
>talk in one way or the other... See above.
>status derived from money Check, that's because for 95%+ of the world's population that's how it works. The only real outliers are retards that get money thrown at them for being celebrities.
>right wing Absolutely.
>desire to be classified as rich when they are not I am rich, it doesn't take much to be in the world's top 0.01% of earners and to be deep into the highest earners in the western world. The average person even in a rich country is poor as shit.
I drive a 24 year old luxury car every day and have an E46 M3 for weekends or fucking about with, modern cars don't do it for me in a lot of ways.
I’ve always felt superior to most people but I have always treated others well. I like going to my local butcher and having a chat and letting him keep the change, or talking to waitresses and giving tips. I like seeing others made happy by something I’ve done.
If you act like shit to people you’re an asshole, and because it’s just some white collar job with alright pay you’re just scum who has some money. To be envied you need to have a rich life, friends, family, personality etc, and feel free to flaunt the money a bit, but that doesn’t sound like you. For you it’s probanly too late, you can escape your pelivian background and your also an asshole, there’s nothing to envy about you.
Jose James
>It's not anxiety to want to make people aware of how much cash you have. Well, let me correct myself. It is seen as such to the established upper middle class. Showing off wealth is bad manners. You show off how erudite you are how cultured you are, how knowledgeable you are etc etc In a way all people want to boast but those who boast by their money are usually new comers to their class. >95%+ top 0.01% I was talking about American Upper Middle Class. An upper middle class professional in for example Colombia might make as much as a middle class in american in terms of dollars, but that doesn't make him a middle class. So all my personal judgements are based on US of A. Though to equiate money with class is also a bit wrong. A journalist in NYT making barely okay money (for NYC standards) living in a studio apt etc will be seen as having higher status compare to say a plumber who makes 100k and lives in a mcmansion (this is also a sign of class jump, anyways).
This is why, I think, you see plumbers talking about how much money they make. Hurr he might write for NYC but I made 150k last year hah!. While a doctor who makes 100k doesn't boast his money, because he knows that by education and by profession he belongs to the same or even maybe tad high, class as the journalist. >I am rich I wish the best of you but, you, me, we, we are really not rich. You can make +100k but still fight with your premium insurance who tries to jew you to not pay for your surgery. Moments like those are usualyl a wake up call that even though you live comfortably for most of the time, you really are not the creme de la creme.

You didn’t make it just because you got a decent job kek. I’ve made it to the point where I don’t have to worry about money for the rest of my life, but I still treat people in service well. If anything, I treat them nicer than I did when I was poor because I feel a bit bad for them.
Jeremiah Sanchez
This pretty much.

>It's about creating drive in people. Would you be driven to be better and develop if you perceived the people above you as your equal? I'd be pissed if they didn't, and probably look for another job if that's how management behaves, everyone shits the same way.

I matured, recognised that I truly was pond-scum underneath the lowest rung of a ladder propped up against a pyramid of ladders; of which there is an infinite number. Consequently, I did the opposite of you - and treated everyone with the same level of respect they've afforded to me.
If the minimum-wage earning waiter can be respectful and kind, why the fuck can't you? Think about how your bosses are (hopefully) respectful and kind towards you - do they need to be?
No they don't, as you're worthless, replaceable, one of many, inexperienced, barely revenue generating and are less than a screw in a joint in a cog in a wheel.
But they're kind and respectful anyway because they have the life experience to understand that it's the wiser, fairer, more productive approach.
In short: Grow up, cunt.
Hudson Myers

I grew up upper middle class and I blame my materialism and wanting to buy fancy things to show off on listening to too much rap music. I agree though I can usually spot people who actually grew up well off with those that came from pleb status. They tend not to act like peasants and usually have better manners.
Caleb Ross

The retail job i work at is in this neighborhood full of so many new construction luxury buildings and new money douchebags. I cant fucking stand them. And it's always fucking brown people and Asians. They drive around in their fucking leased/used BMW's and Mercedes like they're so unique and hot shit and i literally could've bought any of these things during the last bull market but chose not to because im not an insecure faggot that has something to prove.
>is narcissist >is incredibly insecure regardless of muh white collar job
Sad. Very sad. Lol
Cameron Barnes
I worked retail the first part of my life and learned to hate people. now I make $100k+ white collar comfy job and never mistreat retail and service folk since I used to be in their shoes, and I always tip 25% minimum unless service was outright bad. you're just a douchebag user.
Ian Morgan
thats why they work, its not my job making sure that they get paid

Some say narcissism is a way to mask deep rooted insecurity, starts as early as childhood
> inherited enough money to not have to work from the age of 21 > Took a job waiting in a mid to high-end restaurant in the city frequented by fag kike wannabes who think they've made it > smear shit in the food I bring out > put semen in cocktails when on drinks duty
Liam Moore
Humility is also a coping strategy. One of avoidance. Narcissism is only narcissism if rooted in delusion.
Jeremiah Scott
>treating anyone like shit because "hurr durr they need drive xD" If you actually wanted to give them drive, you'd try to motivate them in a positive way. Get to know them, talk to them, treat them well, and act like you don't slurp cum and they'll come out of any interaction better. >your equal You're one person on one ladder. Guess what, there are a fuckton of ladders and a fuckton of people on them. Anyone above you could treat you like shit based on your logic. Does that give you any drive? This. >humility Humility is a good thing in moderation. And treating others like shit because you have a "first white-collar job" means you're delusional.
Ryder Young
Dunno about that, maybe. But you can tell very quickly a really bad person you have nothing to do with, if they treat cashiers/waitresses badly. I see this kind of behavior surprisingly often when i go to grocery store.
You dont have to be overly friendly or anything, but proper behavior towards service people is expected from a sane man.
