It sucks.
For amount of 1 year the government somehow has the right to take you and use you as a free hard labor.
You sleep for 4-5 hours everyday, constantly ill, pulling heavy stuff, mopping floors and all sorts of other dumb stuff.
with no one giving a shit if you are not dead and if you die they will try to make everything look like it was all your fault all along.
And yes, I served. in the 2016.
They still use footcloths in the russian army.
Socks are not allowed. If they found out you have socks they will get rid of them.
You are also not allowed to go where you want, basically standing in the building under lock when not deployed in the street and I mean literally standing because sitting is not allowed.
You might not keep any belongings during that year because it will be stolen.

In general serving in the army showed me what kind of subhumans people actually are, not only russians but other nationalities too.
I despise military. I won't ever go to war on Russian side.

based

Literal shit

Despite having the burgers since the aftermath of WW2-1991 we did nothing to improve ourselves

We're 3 decades gone from our shitty dictator and every political leader from the 90s to present day barely did anything to improve our military

Now we have a Beijing asskisser in office who has zero interest in improving the military, as to not offend his Chinese masters and trying to forcefeed Chinkshit and slavshit with a military that has been using American/UK weaponry for ages

Do they still rape the new recruits? I saw some videos about ten years ago. I think Russia had some system where you had to serve two years so they guys who had already done one year let off their frustrations on the guys who had just arrived and basically raped and enslaved them.

stay on watch with 6 kg rifle for 12 hours in the same place, knowing that nothing will happen
500 pushups for some stupid mistake
walk in clothes below the number you use as humiliation

No I was disqualified for having asthma

Fire spotter-cook undersergeant/squad leader.
It was retarded

There is no rape. The army is extremely homophobic even though their jokes over there are really gay. And there is just beating if you mess with the Wrong guys .
Where I was were a lot of people from Caucasus, including the head stuff and commanders. So basically they treated Russians and not caucasians like shit. They didn't do any work and if you object beat you. You can't really do anything either because the commanders will hide this up since they are Caucasian too.

we have a m3a1 stuart

>if you die they will try to make everything look like it was all your fault all along.
Same in Finland in that part

I have read that russian army has improved in last few years and it is a little bit less shit.
Not enough for me to want learn language and join it though.
Nigger infested FFL sounds better

I'm AF.
It's okay.

nooo it can't be!!!
i want to keep my life blog and uuuh fuck putin long life to femen and based euro black gay men, they can't force me to grow up or defend my country, i'm a real patriot and voted navalny but if russia goes to war i side with the enemy

okay.

Same thing
Only burgers think there is difference

I thought it was about the Korean army.. the similar stuff are also happening in the Russian army huh..

military used to give a full pension and health benefits after 20 years service, now it's 25
so it's full of guys just doing their time before retirement, usually from poorer parts of the country
every base has a hockey team and once a year there's a tournament they travel to

The retarded term "warfighter" is being used thanks to American influence. Why do disposable grunts love snowflake names?
>B-but I'm not a soldier, I'm a muhreeen!

I agree. It's all shit.

I'm also serving in the AF but it's definitely not ok..

I heard from family that AF is easier than other branches but you serve longer. Can you confirm?

indeed. it's way easier to serve in the AF compared to other branches because I'm free of the night watch duty and it feels more like working in an office than a military base. I commute to my office every day and work there as an office assistant. So I grab my rifle and do the shooting once in every 3 months.

But its still shit cus its mandatory

>no one gives a shit if you die
yep, unless the media gets a hold of the story
like when someone is blown to pieces by a mortar for example
>belongings will be stolen
we had lockers thankfully, but stealing sure is a thing

>In general serving in the army showed me what kind of subhumans people actually are
I agree. If someone can make their time just 1% easier, they will fuck you over hard here. Damn.

ayy Im in the Air Force too

of course it is. I can't go home and meet up with my friends even if I really want to and Im forced to live with people I dont like and deal with all the bullying of the seniors

have you ever lived locked up in a barrack for 2 full years? it itself is nothing less than a torture.

never heard good shit about military in any country

what does it feel like to serve in the US air force? Have you ever seen B2 bombers or F22 Raptors irl?

Mandatory service wont be that bad if they got rid of corrupt assholes in charge, but feel like the higher ups couldnt care less

higher ups have no reason to give a shit about how we suffer and what makes us suffering. All they care about is just how to embezzle more and how to promote stomping on their colleagues. It's as corrupted as can be

Guess its the same in all countries, my Singaporean friend thinks the same way

This is from the army. I request you to delete this before we sent our specialist to trace you.

Its pretty good, easier than the other branches. Havnt seen those planes, my base doesnt have them

My friend leaked this photo. What are you gonna do?

more like t. Russian Army Internet Brigade lmao

It was ok, I expected much worse.
Probably only downside that you can't have any modern phones with internet connection, and only kind of media you can watch is MoD official TV channel and various patriotic movies on DVDs.
If you lucky officer can allow you to use your phone like once per month, but there is no connection at military base, so you have to venture to local town and it like 2 hours drive on truck.
Maybe it was a coincidence, but everyone in my regiment was really nice guys, and there was no thouse brainded gopniks who people always imagine.

Literally the only problems with this army is:
nothing to do - total borefest, shitty food, forced to perform some menial tasks if you're unable to anything special like draw, sing, or tech knowledge

Absolute retarded. If your commander isnt an idiot (he will) it can be bearable. Get ready to run 10 km so you can just stand up 3 hours for your next order. You cant sit down because you arent in a break, so sergeants will find dumb ways to waste your time like running again, doing pushups,...
You cant break a single rule or you will be punished, but your superiors dont give a shit about your rights and will force you do to things you're not supposed to do. If you're lucky your section will have 1 guy who actually reads and knows the rules.
Overall is a bad experience

I had my galaxy phone for the whole time I was there, half the people had it too. Just don't flash it to the officers (although half of them didn't care anyway) and you can still use it.

I guess it heavily depends from branch of military and place where you serve.
The place I served was AA installation in Leningrad oblast, and air defence people really don't like any kind of complicated electronics near their stuff.

Are those restrictions just for training or for at all times?

I went to the army volunteerly because I thought it would be a good experience. I was sick like 50% of the time, lost 10kg (i was already skinny). I finally left when I had 50 days left because of lung fever and the captain called me a fucking loser

I didn't lose any weight but I lost some fat.

I served in a central army base in Leningrad oblast as well, and I was in signal-forces, so you would think that they would be harsher with electronics but nope. They monitored vk to see if some people used it and then took their shit if they did though.

At all times. When you not on leave, obviously.
But as this guy saying it heavily dependent from military branch and location.
But I served really recent, in 2018. Few years ago thing was different.

Man, thats weird. We're allowed to have our phones on base (although not in all areas).

Basic training was fun, ofc it was annoying sometimes but the worst they really did was scream at you and tell you to stand still for a while, nothing bad. They even teach you extensively about the duties and rights of the soldier. Food was ok too imo, tho others liked to complain about it. I think it's a very "humane" experience compared to other armies worldwide. But maybe it wasn't so harsh because I was in the medical corps. After basic training I went to a military hospital where things were even less harsh, you didn't have to wear your hat/beret (supposedly because the Medevac helicopter could cause it to fall off kek) and you didn't even have to greet your superiors (because most officers there worked as doctors and didn't want to bother with military formalities). But the few staff officers there who didn't work as actual hospital personnel you still had to greet ofc. I just did 7 months of voluntary service, 3 months basic and 4 months at that hospital, so basically nothing. I got roughly 900€ a month, free food and free train ticket home. If you become a "proper" soldier you get a decent wage and can retire early. If you're ok with doing foreign deployments and perhaps seeing combat (currently unlikely but it can happen) the German army is a very good employer imo.

This guy killed 50 ISIS rats during the Marawi Siege, say something nice to him.

He's a sniper with a very good K/D.

Army isn't too bad, since most of the time you are watched over by other conscripts who don't give a shit. Drills are total shit because you live in a tent in the forest for weeks and get maybe 3-4 hours sleep a night and you're still expected to be mentally functional.

Basically consists of sleeping for 5 hours or so, doing endless exercise, studying, doing more exercise and, whenever anybody more senior than you wishes so (or you commit a mistake at any point), more exercise instead of sleep
The point of military is to toughen up anybody who comes in so they can go participate in war without falling apart at the moment, so you have to live in shit conditions

Double this

I lived near an army base for a while and the average American Army soldier was such an absolute goddamn moron that I finally understood why our """"world's strongest"""" military keeps getting BTFO'd by 3rd world shit farmers. I can't imagine how awful it would be to have to actually be part of the military, given how bad it was just to be near it.
