This happens in Australia all the time, but it's unheard of in Canada and definitely won't be happening this close to an election.

The thing about Lavalin is that Trudeau didn't actually do anything illegal. Scheer is full of shit, but I guess this is what all opposition leaders do. The real damage here has been to Trudeau's personal brand of being a "different" kind of politician. Also the way the way they went about dealing with the scandal made them seem amateurish and incompetent.
