Actual Croats live in the north, nortwest, west and on the islands. They speak Kajkavian or Chakavian.

Bosnian Croats are among the most patriotic Croats. They being similar to other Bosnian only proves that Bosnian as a whole are (or used to be) Croats.
Bosnian Muslims are Muslim Croats and at least some of the Serbs used to be Orthodox Croats.
I mean that's what Croats used to say back in the 90s and early 2000s. Now I keep seeing Croats from Croatia hatting on Bosnian for whatever reason and trying to break themselves up into smaller groups.
It's not even my main interest but I keep bumping into these things when reading about East-European history and it seem that post-2010 people have very strange ideas.
