No way Sofia is so close to Warsaw, not even 202 metres of Sky Fort can make it
>At least, different than ceausescu, he didn't leave behind an African tier country (not that it didn't became one in the mid 90s anyway).
Paradoxically, the more destroyed economically an ex-commie country was, the better it was doing after the fall of communism because people were ready to accept everything, even the most radical shock therapy.
Poland and Romania were the poorest commie countries in 1989 and nowadays they're among the best ones. On the other hand, Hungary was the wealthiest one but then it got stuck in stagnation and unwillingness to carry out necessary reforms.
Keep coping while you get eaten by the SOFIAN BVLL
I wonder what Turks feel when they see their former balkanlar colonies and rapebois are doing better economically than them.

>On Friday, observant Roman Catholics refrain from meat. The Jankowskis and their fellow farmers are believers. While Henryk says that only two of Deba's farmers are members of the Communist Party, he adds that all attend church on Sunday. Like the others, the Jankowskis walk the mile and a half to the local parish.

>Over all, according to Government statistics, the national income has fallen more than 25 percent since 1978. In real terms, diplomatic sources say, what this means is that meat consumption - taken by Poles as a basic index of well-being - is back to the levels of 1973, and the level of overall consumption is at 1972 standards. Frustration over living conditions, particularly food prices, led to rioting by workers in 1970 and 1976, as well as to the unrest that led to the formation of Solidarity in 1980.
>For private farmers, who produce some three-quarters of Poland's food, the shortage of goods, one diplomat said, ''means they have no incentive to produce.'' He added, ''They already have lots of money, but the things they want to spend it on, television sets, even farm equipment, are not available.''
>Indeed, according to a report in Trybuna Ludu, the party newspaper, Poland's farmers are desperately hoping for the delivery of some 6.8 million pairs of rubber work boots from Polish factories. Production in almost all industries has been delayed by shortages of raw materials and workers. Shoes, rationed at one pair a year, are one of the items in shortest supply here, with production so limited that one-third of the ration coupons are not used.

how can GDP indicate your actual purchasing power? you don't get GDP per capita in your bank account, only pure salaries matter
>DUUUUUUUUDE SADDAM WAS A SUPER GOOD GUY AND HE DIN DU NUFFIN
No, you fucking retard, Saddam was an idiot who orchestrated a totally unnecessary war which costed more than a million lives and a narcissist psychopath just like his sons.
Why do edgelords defend bloody dictators like Saddam and Kim Jong-Il and neglect anything that portrays them in a bad light as an "American propagadanda?"

>tfw the last sentence could be said in any Slavic commie country
>''Nie ma,'' said the waitress - ''There isn't any,'' probably the most common phrase in Poland today. Last Monday, the last day on which February's ration coupons could be used, some stocks of coffee appeared. Wild scenes ensued, with shop windows broken, counters smashed and people trampled, as wouldbe consumers struggled for a chance to get the precious commodity.

>Sections of the economy are falling apart piece by piece. Even coal production, the Government's main hope, is slipping because deteriorating railroads are slowing shipments to ports where it can be sent abroad. An ill-advised early retirement plan has left many factories short of workers, as well as raw materials. The building industry is particularly far behind - the wait for an apartment can take up to 25 years and hospital construction is a decade behind.
I copypaste it all specially for Laszlo, I want to cure him from communism
>Recently, shoes were sold here with the soles neatly packaged alongside; the factory did not have the glue to attach them. Private shoemakers, however, could do the job for a small fee.
>For the average Pole, getting by is a matter of standing in long lines, grabbing whatever is available, and, above all, depending on ''connections,'' the shadowy illegal economy that provides some measure of relief.
>The Ministry of Internal Trade has dreamed up plans for another ''reform'': the ''directed sale'' of the most sought-after goods, such as stereo equipment, color televisions, furniture and washing machines. Under the plan, the customer would first pay the full price of the article, then would draw lots for when it might be delivered.

The wolves are gaining on them, and someone has to be sacrificed. The hunters draw straws. The Englishman loses. Stiff upper lip and all, he remains behind. But the wolves, unappeased by scrawny British meat, are soon In hot pursuit again. Now the Frenchman is sacrificed, but such gourmet fare only whets the wolves’ appetites. The German goes next. but even this heavy eating fails to sate the voracious wolves. Now only the Hungarian and the Pole arc left. half of the moscow economy is grey, no one knows what is real average salary here, i personally don't know a single muscovite who earns less than 100k rubles a month, but i don't have many friends and anons on the internet tell me that they somehow manage to live on 60k rubles/month, so who knows... In EU these numbers are much closer to real salaries
If Sofia surpassed Zagreb (890 euros) I will move there
This charming Pekka walks up to you in the club, slaps your Serbian gf's ass, and then asks if her nipples are pierced.

>The inspector is shocked: “But, Comrade, you know there is no God.”
>“And, Comrade,” comes the reply, “you know there are no potatoes.”
did other commie countries have such jokes?
Ah I don't know, I'm in Romania relatively often and although on paper it should be better than us it's just the same. Poland and Czech Rep are way ahead, Slovakia probably too. Hungary one can see its somewhere in the middle, there is still a lot of shit tier infrastructure around and I saw a lot of shitty made repair jobs like I know them from here, even in Budapest.
Dump my gf and fuck his ass.
GDP per capita PPP has proved us over and over again that its the least affected by various changes including exchange rates. It also gives you overall picture of productivity of the economy and much broader picture. Bosnia for example has pretty good pays while having 40% unemloyement rates and no gross savings.
Try comparing and explaining this
Pay grew by almost 100 euro in a year + it accounts usually economicly dead january wages.

Nice Turkish made charts. How do you explain that the word Turk was an offense during ottoman times and how do you explain atatürk said Turks were the last to be freed from ottoman slavery?
This is data for 2017 btw. Sofia grew by €100 in the last 12 months, and also keeps growing
The average now (mid 2019) is at around €850-860 net
This is her bf, just so you know :^)
>It also gives you overall picture of productivity of the economy and much broader picture.
well, imo GDP is skewed, especially in eastern european countries that get mostly foreign investments so on paper they produce a lot but in fact little profit is being kept in the countries it was 'produced' in
Czechia is one of the worlds biggest car manufacturers, one could say they should be one of the worlds richest countries given how complicated car manufacturing processes are and high margins they're sold with, but in fact Czechia is still rather poor, so are their wages, how can it be explained if not by the fact that little of the enormous profit remains in Czechia and most of it comes 'back' to Germany.
Eastern European GDP per capita is hardly reflected in our wages, unfortunately.
>Turkish made chart
It's from Wikipedia
>How do you explain that the word Turk was an offense during ottoman times
It was for Anatolian Turks, and no one cares about An*tolians
We must make Western Europeans pay us development tax, not just Eu funds

Moscow looks like people make in the €1000-1500 range
I always wondered why there is that "melted unclean snow feel" in Moscow, but then I realized it's cause it's too Nordic. Moscow is basically an overgrown Finland
Looks like I am not the only one who holds this view
Most of revenue made by FDI stays in countries where operations are laid. Money goes to taxes, wages and domestic suppliers. Profit is only a tiny margin of whole revenue genersted and spent. Here in serbia our current account is fully covered by FDI. Current account consists of negative goods and services saldo+ profits withdrawn and cash transfers. Ofc having domesticly owned economy is better but workers dont see much even in that case
Now if you go to a city where the people make €3000-4000
current account deficit
I'm actually surprised Croatia is doing ok compared to other balkaniggers.
t. 2% commiecuck
>Most of revenue made by FDI stays in countries where operations are laid.
I doubt.
> Money goes to taxes,
Show me a big foreign investment that isn't granted tax exemptions.
>wages
Extremely low as compared to actual profit the company makes.
>domestic suppliers
If there are any, it depends on the type of investments, anyway most of domestic suppliers are usually foreign owned as well.
>Profit is only a tiny margin of whole revenue genersted and spent.
Spent on wages for CEOs (in millions of euros), of course the CEO lives in London or Frankfurt and doesn't spend a single euro in Serbia, for importing parts from Germany and other countries etc.

It's the nicest I've seen of Russia ever
You should probly take into account that EU imported cars cost 1.5-2x of their original price, so it's not rare that lada driver in Moscow earns more than relatively old bmw(2009-2014) driver in EU

the map shows wages/GDP ratio and with few exceptions the general rule is that the less domestic capital and big domestic companies the country has, the lower wages/GDP ratio is, because the country's economy is dependent on FDIs that will transfer the profit from the country where the factory is located (and GDP counted) to the country of origin and this profit is not reflected in the workers wages neither does it fuel their growth and foster competition
>a blonde asian twink it is then
>tfw first time seeing my country colored dark green in an economy related map/chart
>it's probably a bad thing or it doesn't matter
it's a good thing this time but it's one of the exceptions I was talking about, I'd need to go deeper into the topic to find out why it is like that in Croatia but there could be several reasons, anyway it doesn't change the general rule
I'm not bl*nd
blonde hair are for women
in a perfect world all males are med looking hairy dark gorillas and all females have stereotypical germanic look as shown in movies(like that actress who played hitler's secretary in der untergang)
