If they do that they might as well just burn the whole thing to the ground

aaaah wtf, get that cancerous cyst of steel and glass of it

Why don't they just build a ghetto and house some immigrants there?

>we put the same windows in the church as on the glass cancer above it so it's seamless
Do burgers have any self-awareness?

harrowing

>Wage cage tumour on a church

Lmao

Imagine unironiaclly caring about this

fucking hell

Attached: 1555227123327.jpg (640x480, 33K)

These designers should be killed. How the fuck can they even operate a company designing hideous shit like this.

yikes

what if they just rebuild it like it was?

Attached: af2.png (680x521, 115K)

1/3 of the world's drinking water will be left by 2025 so it doesn't really matter.

>lets put some penthouses on top of a church, arent we innovative

Attached: 1554850699044.png (240x320, 105K)

>seamless
is this a joke?

Attached: 1539031808977.jpg (1200x801, 231K)

>seamless

Attached: 1446280699212.jpg (401x372, 24K)

literally a tumor

>modern buildings bad
>old buildings good

Attached: grug.png (400x400, 56K)

Notre Dame with a classically styled glass roof might be nice, but i think the darkness adds to the intended atmosphere of the original builders and helps preserve the art.

massive amounts of natural light would be an amazing experience

Attached: ldmu3eq7tns21.jpg (966x640, 96K)

If it triggers Jow Forums it's good

That's gross.

Trudeau wants it rebuilt in 5 years to do it like it was would take more than 5 years. Having said that the Italians have rebuilt things as they originally were so it can be done just not in 5 years.

I'll be extremely surprised if the redesign contest is won by an actual frenchman and not some immigrant

>mfw "stop complaining about immigration, Notre Dame was designed by an immigrant"

Attached: 1465799586511.jpg (170x208, 6K)

You guys whine so much and yet I’ve yet to see a single design produced here.

Why didn't they just not burn it down in the first place? Then you don't have to rebuild anything

>You guys whine so much and yet I’ve yet to see a single design produced here.
A Swede user redesigned the spire.

that would be pretty based 2bh, a lot more people would go to church if there was a McDonald's inside

>welcome to notre-greenhouse

why does it need to be done in five years?

well you know communists like 5-year-plans

I literally don't care about some decrepit church in a city I've never visited

Then post it.

it is when you try to """"seamlessly"""" combine old and new styles together

Did you retards ever look up in a church before?
The wooden roof burned down, not the stone ceiling.

>Trudeau
What's he got to do with it?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_Summer_Olympics

how about an entirely stained glass window roof?

i thought the stone roof collapsed as well

Fuck I meant Macron.
Paris Summer Olympics.
I didnt save his stupid drawing.

I fucked up. I meant Macron.

don't the French absolutely despise postmodernism? wouldn't they restore it as it was?

Only below the atrocious spire Most of it is intact.

>French absolutely despise postmodernism?
Ummmm

Why not just reconstruct it exactly as it was?

>OLD BAD
>NEW GOOD
It's racist and oppressive, build by whites and don't represent modern Paris and France or some shit like that.

still, imo gothic and modern glass/steel constructions don't mix well. Imo the Parisiennes should have the vote as they have to live with it.

Because architects are pretentious retards who want to shit all over it to make a name for themselves.

Because architects are the scum of the earth and they feel the need to ruin everything they come across.

>pic related
based af

>Parisiennes should have the vote
how about french people?

I’m pretty sure it’s because they don’t have the blueprints for it.

NO.
I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS.

Attached: angery_apu.png (556x430, 92K)

Personally I think the new roof should be proud of the cathedral proper
trying to blend old and new never works, a hard border is the patricians choice

Attached: ZHA_Port_House_HeleneBinet_01[1].jpg (2000x1583, 2.54M)

Is there legitimate reason other than simply hate for old and nice architecture to spawn so fucking ugly abomination?

Attached: 1554628280160.jpg (420x410, 17K)

Attached: LBAA7Sc.gif (367x219, 523K)

>old and nice architecture
the building is a copy paste job
it does nothing that a single 2x2m section of it doesn't, aesthetically speaking

unironically looks good
it's probably more functional too

Why don't they keep the old style?

Also when will modern architecture fall out of the vogue

>when will modern architecture fall out of the vogue
some time in the 1980s, thicko

Yes it is

>Seamless
Does that mean something else in American English than to the rest of the world?

Stfu you American

Notice how it's contained to its own ghetto.

laughing my ass off on this one

Speaking of Notre Dame

It's not happening, you fellas just like to get mad over nothing

It will never shine like it does in that render. Glass neeeever fucking shines like it does in these disgusting renders. It will be an opaque brown/gray mess with tonnes of stains from the rain and birdshit on it.
Imagine being in a giant acoustic hall with glass when it rains.

They have all the blueprints they need to the last millimeter.

>go to church
>get skin cancer

I'd be convinced if that footage wasn't just one minute long, but it actually showed the notre-dame catch on fire
