Only in my first travel I actually talked to random people. Everything was new. It was exciting and all, but then I didn't feel like it the next travel

I have a largeish family (6) and it's such a pain in the arse to travel hopefully when I graduate I will be able to travel by myself but at the same time I like being with someone
Nathaniel Fisher
I have. But it gets lonely and nobody back home gives a fuck about your trips.
At least with people you can always reminisce with them

ive travelled alone to: argentina, ireland, france, egypt, germany and spain The first night I read all I can about the nearby places make a plan, a time table to make sure I visit everything I want to see, I skim the parts that are not awesome and get drinks at nightime. If you got bored maybe youre just a boring person because I always have a blast when I travel and travelling alone is much simpler at least for me as I dont have to waste my time convencing people to join me on my adventures or follow them into some mediocre mainstream activity instead of going on day hikes and enjoying those special little places every country, i guess im just a loner by nature also im el boli
I wrote to people (read: pretty girls) on [website] and [website] and asked if they would show me their city during daytime or want to eat/drink during the evening/night. Sometimes we had sex afterwards. My most interesting stories happened because of this.
Another hack is to book different places to stay at. It forces you to get up early and to go to different parts of the city. You also have "something to do" and meet a wider range of fellow tourists so it's more likely you find someone you like.
For example one time I went to Paris by myself for 5 days. When I arrived at the hostel, I met 3 Americans (male) the moment I entered my room and we went sightseeing together. When we went to the tourist bar district next to the eiffel tower a group of American girls approached me and I told them to ask the Americans instead. That's how our groups joined and we spent the rest of the day together.
The next morning I went to another hostel, walked around and in the evening I met a girl I scheduled a meeting with. I also purchased some food items because we went to do a picnic in a park.
The next day I went with her to a nearby village. In the afternoon I left her for good and returned to the hostel I didn't even sleep in and went to yet another part of Paris.
There I managed to actually just live with another girl for 2 days. We went to dance salsa (because that's her hobby). The next day I met another girl while still staying at her place. And after the second day at her place I overslept. My flight was scheduled for 6 AM and I woke up at 4 AM. I had to wake her up to tell me how I could possibly still catch my flight. I eventually did after changing the bus line 3 times and I asked a lot of people if I was on the correct bus because the whole time I was only using the subway and at home I never use a bus.
So yeah, those were my 5 days in Paris when I went there by myself.
im 23 m8 the first time i travelled alone I was 15 parents never really gave a fuck so they just let me wander around the first time I took a transatlantic flight alone to meet up with my mother I was 12
Does a one-day trip to another city count as travelling? I have done that alone. But I've never traveled alone to a different country.
Andrew Rogers
I'd say you need to feel like a complete outsider in order to count

I've been alone to Italy, UK, and Hong Kong it's a different kind of experience compared to traveling with friends, but as long as you are actually interested in the place you're going to you won't be bored
Christopher Walker
went to spain alone for 2 weeks.
what was awesome. I wanna go back to europe and do the same thing on the east coast of spain or maybe france, portugal.
Meeting ppl at hostels is super easy, I like history so I never got bored. And if you ever feel like you dont know what to do, europe seems to be full of small bars to duck into for a drink (and in spain thats super cheap) get a buzz, maybe meet someone (also easy if you are a foreigner) and find out what you want to do next.
2 weeks in spain solo was a great experience.
Daniel Russell
Yeah but whom do you actually interact with?
Joshua Adams
uhm.. who's gonna tell him, guys?

yeah i backpacked around china alone
it helped knowing mandarin to a reasonable level and I met a few cool locals but honestly it can get kinda depressing at night time. but travelling alone is the best if you wanna truly experience a place, when you're with someone you know from back home although it gives great memories and you can go out to bars and stuff, you can't really immerse yourself much or do the shit you wanna do. going around russia with my (now ex) gf was hell for example, we had entirely different plans for what we wanted to do. I wanted to see historical sites and visit some of the republics, she basically wanted to find some pretty buildings to take insta photos in front of and shop

>having an instathot gf Cringe and bluepilled
James Sanders
What republics? You mean like Georgia and Belarus, former SSRs?
Parker Jenkins
Thats why I usually travel 3 times a year, 1 with friends just to have good time, 2 with gf, and 3 alone. All 3 are very different ways of travel.
Gavin Butler
i will go to Spain and China in the nexts Chemestries

Im digging your minimal punctuation style. Bretty fresh. And ive not really done it yet but id traval and plan the same way as you do. Ive traveled (around my own cunt) with just me and my gf a few times and that id probably the best way, very simpole still and share the moments with someone you love is nice. One time i traveled exactly 1009 miles with my gf and two cats. The cats being in the car for such a journey is mega stress x.x
Christian Morris
this is the best way

>The cats being in the car for such a journey is mega stress Throw them out the fucking car window, problem solved.
