Explain to me how a warmer planet is bad. Warmer could mean desert like Sahara, or Rainforest. How could we know which is which?
Explain to me how a warmer planet is bad. Warmer could mean desert like Sahara, or Rainforest...
>warm - good
>cold - bad
I don't have a soyjak picture saved so you'll just have to imagine it
Deserts don't have out of nowhere. Warm climate doesn't imply in a desert, quite the opposite in fact.
If you want cold just go to the North pole nigga like what. Cold is literally Germa
What I meant to type before it Auto posted was being Cold forces our bodies to use more energy. Therefore its less efficient.
Hurricanes and tornadoes are going to be way worse due to the warmer temperatures. The gulf stream will likely lose it's energy and slow down until it doesn't exist anymore, effectively making northern Europe much colder. The western US won't have the needed snowpack in the mountains to keep the summers from drying everything up and causing wildfires and depleting water reserves. Most of Florida will be submerged from rising Ocean levels. Just some examples.
What if the opposite were to happen and the Earth was getting colder. Would you think that would be a good thing? The idea that we somehow live in the best environment possible is foolish, what's much more likely is we just have gotten used to the environment we live in.
Places closer to the equator are MUCH more capable of sustaining human life. Look at Java, India, China, Brazil, Mexico.
There is already evidence the Sahara is shrinking in size.
Land area that disappears would replaced by added land in Siberia, Greenland, Iceland, Finland, Canada and maybe even Antarctica.
Reducing the Ice in the ocean will certainly have an effect on ocean currents. I have trouble seeing how a hotter Earth leads to more drought. As a hotter Earth should cause more evaporation meaning more rain. Rain is whats necessary for food production.
I would prefer that we don't have to deal with any of that by maintaining our current temperature
>hurrr global warminugf
bullshit, it was the coldest winter of all time now.
check mate liberals
Sorry, rain and heat are both important for food production. This is why food grows best in the summer.
Don't care if this shit get warmer, one more reason to use the air conditioner
I think there would be much stronger urges to maintain our temperature if the Earth was getting colder than hotter. That's what I'm saying.
Also Banana trees in the US would be pretty cool.
That's because you got weather from the arctic circle.
I wish
doens't make sense, but whatever. i just turned up the heating.
This all the ice melting in the North Pole causes ice particles to land on Germany.
>hotter earth would mean more rain
That's not how it works. coastal deserts exist around the world. What you'll see is that water on land will evaporate even faster.
The cold air of the arctic isn't stuck there, it moves around. It will also move around more often as the earth warms up.
Fun fact. The US would actually be a lot hotter if it wasn't for Canada constantly shitting cold air on us.
A hot spring day in the US is synonymous with no winds blowing from Canada, any day where it is Cold in spring is because Canada decided to take a nice frosty shit.
I wonder where Canada gets all of it's cold air from
I like the cold air desu
Obviously the entire Earth becoming a desert "if all the ice melts" is hyperbolic. Just like saying all the Earth would turn into dense rainforest if the last glacial maximum came back.
Honestly, if the liberals could use the "OMG EVERYTHING WILL BE A DESERT" excuse they would, but climatologist have seemed to found at that no, its not true that a hotter earth means more deserts. Just like saying the Gobi desert doubles in size in the summer. It's just not true. That's why the liberals say "THINK OF THE BEACH FRONT PROPERTY" because that's the only actual downside for increasing the Earth's temperature.
Yeah, North Canada. You think the US owns the North pole or what?
>only downside
no, I live in Idaho and we're constantly on fire if we have a mild winter. We need lots of snowfall to keep everything hydrated through the summer.
Blame the Rockies for blocking the jet stream. We try to send wet weather to you guys. Y'all block it out from every direction but East (the direct opposite of the jet stream)
>jet stream
kek you're retarded. Don't you mean rain shadow?
Actually the Rockies block the all directions from entering Idaho LOL. The ultimate cuck nation, Idaho.
The coastal mountains are not the rockies, those are the Cascades
Yeah just pretend I didn't say that...
Idaho aint not stranger to dynamite. Blow a 2 mile corridor from the coast to Boise to let dat sweet rain clouds come through.
Eastoids stop acting like you know anything about Northwestern geography
*aint no
that won't fix anything dumbass
Warmer planet = nigger habitat
Is this simple enough?
becuz if da erf get 2 worm den da plases wit watur wil flud n den dey hab to mov al dose peepuls nd hoses n shiet to other plases witch wil be alot Thank you Canada.
Go blow a bong.
I live in California because of this reason. Feels good not to live in a snowy shithole.
wat? a hot climate drains all your energy, lad
Plz compare Russias population to Java and then come at me again.
not entirely true. Hot AND humid climate (+80/90%) leaves you feeling like shit after the slightlest effort. Hot and dry (30/40%) is actually pretty good.
I'd take 40°C with 40% humidity over 30°C with 90% humidity any day of the week
This is why British summers are awful. Cant even sit down without the clammy heat making you sit in your own puddle of sweat, and shade ia no escape with humidity that high.
>implying you whites can handle a 34°C heat
>implying you can handle a 20° jump
Stop
It's the change of pace and the severity. The planet was an average of 4C colder during the last ice age. That was a planetary average, it was far colder in parts of the northern hemisphere.
I bet it's nothing compared to the US east coast
>Rainforest
Is a green hell, you do not what you are talking about. Do you no what is being said about the pacific Theater in ww2? A humidity and a heat that would drive soldiers crazy? that is the rainforest climate.
That is not good at all.
