Investment Advice

>34 year old boomer in Australia
>own $900k apartment with $500k mortgage
>$60K in boomer shares
>$60kin Crypto
>No debt

Will be selling my boomer shares and wondering what to do with the cash and where to invest next.

Don’t really want to put it into crypto as a diversified investment strategy is better than an all in on crypto

Next best option would be an investment property however Australian real estate is overpriced, rental vacancies are at an all time high so both yields and capital growth are non existent

Not interested in gold/silver, tend to lean towards more high risk investments.

Thoughts and suggestions please

RIP doggo :(

Buy 2/3/4 appartments for about 200/300k and rent them out. During housing crisis they won’t go down to 100k and even if they do they will keep generating incomes for you. Hodl crypto.

>want to diversify
>also want to have all your money in high risk investments

>want your money in high risk investments
>take your money out of high risk investments (shares)

I don't understand you, OP.

Apartments in that price range aren’t in metro areas... or if they are they are in the slums (yes we have slums here too). Rural apartments just won’t get any or very minor capital growth then you have maintenance/strata etc.

I wouldn’t call shares high risk depending on what you own. I have 2x my money in shares over 2 years so sitting comfy.

I prefer high risk investment as I’m still a young boomer and can take calculated risks depending on potential rewards.

Have thought about doing VC but I don’t fit the wholesale investor requirement so getting into it is not easy

Damn... sorry to hear. This doggo is old... 12 years but incredibly healthy and will probably live for another 4 which is not common for doggos :(

>I wouldn’t call shares high risk

Return and risk are related.

Hey bro Im in Australia too Im 18 and really wanna make it in that game can you give advice on discord?

The problem with exiting one investment is figuring out where to invest next. Why sell if you don't have another investment in sight?

Sell apartment, sell stocks, all-in BTC. Use 60k to travel Europe and Asia while btc hits 50k USD. Retire.

Because the shares I own are in the business I work in. They recently took a hit and they are going to continue to go down over the next 9 months at least... thinking of shorting them but pretty sure it’s illegal for me to do that given I have information the general public doesn’t...

I’ve thought about, putting the share money into bitcoin and just holding it in bitcoin for a couple of years. My existing crypto is all in shit coins as the potential growth will far exceed bitcoins

>900k apartment
It's going to pop soon.

year old boomer in Australia
Kill yourself.

>500k mortgage
>no debt
What?

Since you're user. Just spill which shitcoins. Not all are going to pump after btc. Some will actually die off

-don’t waste your money
-invest it
-try to create additional income streams

The more you do when you’re young will make it easier for you when you’re older.

I had fuck all money until around my mid twenties/late twenties when I got a good job. From there things accelerated...

Word of advice, don’t have kids. Worst decision you could ever make financially. I have one, they are expensive including the child support I have to pay each week...

jesus christ the chinks really drove real estate prices up on spider island

Auzzie market is going down sooner than expected lol!

>VET (70% of holdings)
>ICX
>ZIL
>FXT
>WAN - going to dump shortly, this project is dead. Friend with tech background went to their office and spoke to the team, came out of there not understanding how the team is actually going to achieve what they say they will.
>ELA bought this the other week. Terrible decision... thinking of flipping it into CPC or Mobius

Honestly i'd just hold bitcoin instead of that crap

Pete?

sell that house desu. And don’t buy property in Australia til after housing crash. Housing crash imminent , no home. That’s good money take it while you can.

Yeah it’s going to get bad.

Heaps of people have “honeymoon mortgages” where you get a cheap rate but the after 2 years it jumps up. Most people also just on interest only with these mortgages

Problem with these loans is that recently the RBA has tighter rules around lending as banks were grossly underestimating peoples living expenses to give them loans.

New rules implemented so that can’t happen anymore. Now you have a bunch of people who won’t be able to refinance as now they are using true living expenses and can’t exit their current mortgage. Add to that they won’t be able to stay on interest only so they are going to be be in real trouble. People will need to sell or go broke... not good news for

I’m on one of these mortgage rates which finishes in September but am refinancing as luckily my income and LVR is very healthy

Ah yeah haha I think you know what I meant. No credit card debt, personal loans etc. I’ve always paid cash for everything excluding my apartment as obviously I didn’t have that kind of money

I’ve considered that but there’s more potential for higher gains in alts. I’d only have 6 bitcoins if I sold them all off now and I’d only ever have 6 bitcoins... at the peak in January I had 16btc worth but fell for the HODL meme...

Are you Asian? Your crypto sure is.

Your holdings are not bad. Vechain, zil and icx will probably pump after btc.

WAN- I almost bought this. Couldn't get into ico. I thought their goals were straight forward but after seeing their promotional video everything looked too lofty.

Bags aren't too terrible but I think less secure than holding ETH or BTC (safest).

I've heard nothing but bad about interest rates for mortgages going up in Oz soon. Some guy that predicted 2008 said the same would happen in Oz soon.

This project is more dead than Michael Jackson.

I had a bunch I got on idex but dumped months ago after the project put everything on hold. Wouldn’t bother buying again, too many other platforms likely to make it e.g EOS

I invest in a lot of cryptocurrencies and own an ounce of gold. I make $200 a week so thanks for the advice

Not Asian but live in Australia where half the population is Asian Haha

Yeah personally after my friend visited the team at their office he said the same thing, goals are lofty and he has no idea how they are going to achieve them... basically the team didn’t know either

Damn. Do me a favor, hold atleast 1 bitcoin

Nice, keep it up.

I really hope Crypto works out for us all.

If crypto gives you life changing money, don’t forget to cash in. I should have done that in January... $250k at the peak, could have paid $100k off my mortgage, paid 50% tax (im just below max tax bracket for my job) and have $50k left which is basically pretty close to what I have now in crypto

Hindsight is amazing. If you find yourself with life changing money, whatever that amount, take it. Lifechanging to some is $10k and others it’s $1M. Find your target and take that profit

The devs for WAN look like actual Chinese boomers.

I think you are doing the right thing by holding the alts. They will pump after btc moons again in the next 12-18 months, then you sell for fiat or BTC.

Yep, won’t be falling for the hodl meme again. If I hit that level again, I’ll have stop losses set on usdt pairings to lock in my gains.

I think of the things I could have done with that money and now have to wait for the next run

200 USD a week? Did you forget a 0 on the end there?

He’s either an apprentice and unfortunately earns stuff all

Is on welfare

Or he is referring to his investments making him that money which doesn’t make sense as Crypto only goes down at the moment

What are boomer shares?

What is the interest rate on the mortgage?

You're a capitalist. There's no way you got there without exploiting people and extracting their surplus labor.

Bad Mouse video:

youtube.com/watch?v=lOJWP_e3EVA

To expand on this, if things start going ballistic again set targets where you're at least taking some profits. Like 10% every X increase for example

Sell everything, put it all in Bitcoin, or don't and be like all the salty people this year who missed out when I told everybody to buy in 2015

Your apartment and mortgage are about to become enormous liabilities, and diversification is a fucking meme when we're talking about overvalued markets and debt bubbles everywhere, there's no other place to put money now.

Act now or regret it forever.

I think I’m on 3.79% and jumps to 4. Something in September hence why I’m refinancing with another lender to keep my interest rate below 4%

I am a capitalist 100%. Why be left wing and sacrifice income for “morals”. You’re just making your life harder

I wasn’t born into wealth, the opposite actually
My mum didn’t work
My dad was a taxi driver
Have 4 siblings
Hand me down clothes until I got my own job
First house I live in as a kid didn’t even have electricity. They used a car battery for power...

Your parents are retarded bogans. Australia is literally very easy mode compared to other anglo countries.

Intrigued as to why you're considering CPChain, anything you've seen/heard that spikes your interest?

Put all in on link right now. Or regret forever.
