Will this thing ever move?

after the casper thing

Please explain

It’s a great coin to day trade with

I was happy AF when ETH/alt pairs showed up, no more needing to use shitcoin. Can send ETH much faster and cheaper.

so in 2+ years... great

its hard but buy+hold investors usually beat out traders over time. Just forget about it for awhile.

It yo-yo'd back and fourth $300 for weeks then came big moves, relax be patient moon boi or take advantage of this watch the highs and lows and swing trade up. Your welcome.

Dump it and buy EOS

Take a closer look at the 2017 chart relative to BTC. ETH, even during the bull run, flatlined a number of times before violently breaking out. It's not the best coin for day trading. Often not great for swing trading either. Gotta be patient.

I lost so much money in this shitcoin

Everyone with crypto has a vested interest in eth and btc

51% attack will be the death of it. For those that didn't get scammed with the recent FOMO quick, here is the short story:

Timer was at only 5 min, once the pot reached millions of $$$, the miners colluded to only let in certain transactions and actually did fuck up the whole system so that a certain person wins. In fact, even the developers put out that announcement before the round was over saying "look at the death of proof of work in front of you" with a graph of blocks over time. They then deleted it because they were actually the ones who saw the gain from that and colluded with miners.
You don't have to believe me, and I can't find that post anywhere anymore, so what I'm saying sounds like lies. However, if you go on their discord in general chat and ask about that post or search for "51%", you'll find plenty of posts about this collusion.
Until they figure out what to do with the 51% attack, this will never be adopted completely mainstream. I don't think any decentralized crypto will.

>the kinds of brainlets who exist in this space
you are fucking stupid and you cling to whatever you can to rationalize your poor decisions
what you're suggesting here makes no sense whatsoever and is borderline schizophrenic word salad

oh and another thing, miners colluding in this manner is not a "51% attack," you dumbfuck

and the devs did steal the pot but they did so by botting it, very fucking simple

It already mooned

Found the retard who lost it all in FOMO.

yeah, the guy im replying to

I'm sorry, but that legitimately happened in front of my eyes. I saw the miners only pick up certain transactions by the end of the round, I wasn't even playing. Feel free to believe whatever you want, but nobody will invest into this in real life so long as the ability to send and receive is controlled by miners.
Also, yes, that's what a 51% attack is. I'm sorry for you if you don't know that already.
Peace be with you, friend.

Can confirm
This in fact, actually did happen

>Also, yes, that's what a 51% attack is. I'm sorry for you if you don't know that already.
no, it really isn't

it's a bunch of half truths interspersed with complete schizoid bullshit lol
block times got high because tx volume spiked and then they tapered off, they deleted that announcement because it was asinine and made them look really stupid, and on top of that they did indeed steal the funds but it had nothing to do with that and they didn't want to self-incriminate

The sooner your understand that this is a problem the sooner you'll be able to put your coins somewhere else. It's inflated for now because there were 0 real world scale applications for ETH except for FOMO ironically. Once a news site picks up this story in detail and shouts 51%, it's over for ETH.
Even if didn't happen like you claim, many people will believe it did like myself and another user. Perhaps we are retarded, but don't underestimate the number of retarded people. All coins are based on hype right now. Sure, if we are wrong it will bounce back, but there is no denying a giant crash will happen once FOMO will become more well known. And it's only a matter of time too, there's fucking $10mil in long. Even if it doesn't finish, it's a huge and unique contract as far as crypto goes. Things will go public and public will ask questions about what happened to fomo quick. Once that happens you can waive your ETH peener goodbye, at least for some time and highly possible forever.

you sound like a delusional idiot who lost money in a pyramid scheme
miners manipulating txs is a problem and ultimately their incentive just has to be larger than the block reward, but that is a problem with literally any PoW system

Thanks, I actually won I FOMO because I got in early in long and didn't gamble in short.
Yes, it is a problem with any system, and that's exactly what I'm saying. Invest in coins who are actively trying to solve this problem, like the ones who are trying to anonymize transactions. That's not the complete solution, but at least they're trying.
Good luck, friend.
