I really wish I learnt to drive in my teens. Now I'm 21 and jobless for 5 years, never driven a car, still live at home, any kinos where the main character turns their life around?

no, that never happened, dont try
I am 19 and got my drivers license this year
My dad gave me his old car too
Now i only need a uni degree until i can justify being a NEET
How do you not learn?
Did your parents just neglect you or something?
>21
Lel I'm 25 and taking my driving test next month (going to be on automatic too since I'm a sperg and got too anxious driving manual). Plus I still live with my parents and have no idea what to do with my life.
My entire existence might as well just be a joke tbqh.
I took my license at 24
I'm 26 and taking my test now. I have a motorcycle license though and lived abroad for about 5 years so that's my excuse.
Yeah my dad has his own family and my single mum didn't bother to teach me.
I'm a licenseless 25 year old.
It's probably a lot harder for an australian to live without a DL but just do it, borrow money from your parents.
You get a lot of pussy with that thing? the motorcycle.
i haven't seen this movie, but from the title i think it may be suited for you
Holy shit are you me?
no, but it's really fun to drive and i found it easier to learn than a car. i lived in italy so i had fun driving around. i don't own a bike anymore because i needed the money.
God I can't imagine not having the ability to drive around during lonely nights while thinking about life.
That's rough.
Maybe try a driving instructor?
i don't know how to drive also, also jobless, my mom is forcing me also, not really interested in driving, might take on biking.
You can do it, just got my full license recently. 25 btw.
I'm 25, never learnt how to drive and not going to, there are literally 0 reasons for me to own a c*r
I failed to get my license and I'm 21 now, doesn't matter, I don't need it.
>Now I'm 21 and jobless for 5 years
Can you drop out of school at 16 years old in Australia?
Driving is really not hard. I took my driver license at 18 years old.
In Australia do you have a manual or automatic transmission?
Well at least you never tried so you don't know if you're a retard behind the wheel or not, maybe it will be easy for you
Driving really wasn't as intuitive as I believed it would be for me.
It took me a considerable amount of time to figure out how to use a steering wheel.
>It took me a considerable amount of time to figure out how to use a steering wheel.
???
Yeah I think you can drop out after year 10 (so about 15 years old). For us we have both, but most cars are auto and most people choose to learn to drive with auto. (Though I personally chose manual)
I have a mental disability.
I got a license when I was 18 and it only made my life worse
How
Im 21 and never learned to drive either, but why should i? in the 3/4rd world it's not common to have a car as US teenangers have neither move when you are 18 or something, living alone here is really fucking expensive.
this.
>wow I will be able to go everywhere I want!
>reality
>everyone wants you to drive them somewhere
>fucking low gas light is flashing all the time
>car breaks and you have to buy new shit to it
fuck this if you are not a millionaire and you own a car you are a cuck
Because I constantly have to drive my family members around with no other benefits than being able to use the car myself when I need it and I rarely ever need to go anywhere other than school.
i got mine at 19 and it got me a job and let me go to a decent uni this time. Changed everything.
fuck that driving insutrctors are like $50 an hour. For 70 hours or whatever if you factor in the first 10 being 3x you'd better be rich. I think PCYC does free ones but you just need hours to get the test. Because all the test is is not doing a major fuckup under moderate pressure.
Drive manual
Don't press the accelerator too much
My father drives me to college everyday.
stalled twice before i'd even left the RTA on my test, still passed
Im 18 and will take the test soon and every American acts like Im retarded that I didnt get mine at 15
I'm 20 and I have my licence but no car to drive cause it's too expensive to buy and maintain cause I'm neet
Good luck
I am 25. I don't have a licence. Then again I hail from the mighty city of Budapest. Only rural pigfuckers have licences in this country.
dude why need a car when you can float around with the power of your mind
Jokes on you, I'm a 3/20 eyelet and can't even take a driving test.
No employer will take me even with a degree, I have no answer when they ask how I plan on reaching their bumfuck nowhere locations
How do you live in a large, open nation and not learn to drive? How can you stand not traveling across your country on occasion?
We have trains, buses, planes and other people's cars
oh you meant Australia, nvm my answer then
why would Australians go across the country? there's Perth on the West side, and nothing else, the rest is literal desert. Why would they go through 2000 km of desert? Imagine a 5 million km2 Nevada.
to gawk at the shitty aboriginal towns along the way and maybe get wolf creek'd
Driving around was way to stressful for me. Also way to expensive.
Living in a big city I just decided to get everywhere by train and stuff.
It works quite well, but I'm 20 now and spend a lot of time in the rural area around the city.
Maybe I'm going to do my license here soon.
If I'm lucky my work is gonna arrange and pay it for me.
Do they not teach you in school?
Australia is fucking huge. Same reason people don’t drive across the US
It's cheaper and faster to take a flight.
This. I just can't handle the responsibilty of moving a heavy metal can in an environment where there are other people.
It’s not difficult tho
This. So much this.
It's really not as hot as it's cooked.
Why does this scare you?
I get flashbacks to the time in Christchurch.
Nah, it's not even that. Just normal driving made me sweat. Afterwards it felt so surreal and dreamlike. Like I just drove in autopilot.
I concluded that I just wasn't ready for it.
>Like I just drove in autopilot
That’s how it always feels when I drive. I get into my car, next thing I know I’m getting out of my car
I always thought this but its actually surprisingly easy.
I became the errand boy aswell
I've had my learners for 6 years
27 and no license
I hate driving so much. I had 2 practical lessons and I was thinking it would be easy, but it isn't.
The worst was just driving a straight street and someone driving on the opposite lane in the opposite direction. Each time I was thinking they would crash into me and I would die. The perspective is very different from driving games and driving simulators or driving on the co-driver seat.
you are so eyelet can't you be employed with special contracts?
>26
>have a driver's license and a car
>still no job and live at home
lmao just lmao
Nigger you get used to the distances after 500km.
After driving 100,000km I can comfortably cross incoming traffic at 90km/h with half a meter of clearance
It just takes practise. I hated driving too when I first got my license two years ago. But you just have to force yourself to drive and get experience in all situations. Little by little you begin to enjoy it and then it becomes an everyday routine, like it should be
Learned to drive when i was 19/20. Was poor so basically i just rode around with my dad (yelling at me whole time) for about 4 hours over the course of week. Driving feels really fucking weird at first, but it got kind of normal feeling after the 4 ish hours, then i just started taking the car out by myself because my dad is lazy. Did that for a couple months then took the test. Im 29 now, i can drive so 2nd nature now. Id say im a great driver, never even slightly touched anything in 10 years with car and no tickets, and i have driven 1000 miles in one continuous session across states a few times now. Dont give up because it feels so unnatural at first, once you get those awkward and scary first handful of hours out of the way the vehicle will feel like an extension of your mind and body. Good luck.
dont you lose all your hours after 5 years and have to start again?
This.
>These are the people who make fun of Americans for driving everywhere
>any kinos where the main character turns their life around?
Trainspotting.
>drive like a retard because of anxiety
>can't take meds for anxiety because you're driving
