it has nothing to do with isp's, they dont care what you are downloading
its lawfirms, on behalf of of the rights owners, that host those files and track who is downloading them
when they are done tracking they whine about it to some judge and that (often clueless) fucker then decides that the isp has to verify the tracked ip
all in all you can just ignore them because they wont really sue or live somewhere where that isnt even possible because the isp doesnt have to give out the name and address of specific ip's to beginn with
