Insomnia, day 3:
I've barely slept for like a week and a half at this point. I spend all night tossing and turning and manage to get a couple 20 minute naps in over the course of the night. Now I feel like shit and if i put even the most gentle pressure on my head I feel a weird pain radiate through my skull.

Take drink a glas of milk about an hour before the time you should be going to bed 22:00hrs for instance, take multi-vitmamin, magnsesium, calcium and eat more green veggies.
Go for a 15 to 30 minute walk each morning at a set time for instance 08:00hrs
Keep to this schedule and make sure to get at least 15 minutes of sunlight and that means to go outside for 15 minutes.

When I can't sleep I usually reduce light in my room as much as possible, change the temperature so it is neither too hot or cold , change my pajamas or underwear if I am not comfortable in them and take a sip of whisky to help me fall asleep easier.

Whenever I'm sleep deprived I get the same thing, except I see see bugs, animals, and silhouettes of people in the corner of my vision too. Sometimes I hear talking that isn't there too.

I only resort to the whisky when the other things I mentioned don't work. I have a stable sleeping schedule and usually get enough sleep, so sleeping problems are very rare here. And in the rare case I do grab the whisky, one sip is all I take. More has the opposite effect for me. I am not really afraid of becoming dependent on it.
