In my experience, yes. I've never met one who wasn't massively fucked up and I grew up in an area with a lot of them. They're all just miserable people, and while the girls at least have men who fetishize them even they are really unhappy and riddled with complexes.
Same for me, and I'm the "right" kind of hapa.

I've only known one Hapa guy and he looked like a model, the skinny, somewhat emo type with shoulder-length hair. Somewhat weird personality, ran an even weirder blog and was obsessed with his Japanese side (think he's working a sushi chef these days).

I think they all have their issues, but generally yeah, unless they’re just the the most vocal about their issues online and it’s just coincidental that many of the ones I’ve run into IRL were messed up. Also they’re often very Asian looking with completely white names without being adopted but aware of their white side being part of their bloodlines which I think messes with their sense of identity as well.

What interests me more than whether a hapa's father was white or Asian is the hapa's particular ethnic mix. Similar to how Chinese, Korean, and Japanese cultures are distinct from one another, hapas will be different depending on their heritage. However the more Americanized a hapa is, the less distinct they will be from other Americanized hapas regardless of their heritage (and more likely to fall in line with stereotypes).
In terms of the stereotypes, I haven't met any hapas that resembled the memes. I've only known Japanese hapas for what it's worth. Personally, the only aspect of being hapa that bothers me is not having a proper traditional culture or nation. Anyway, I think having a healthy, well-adjusted upbringing is the most important factor, which obviously isn't exclusive to race.
