No. People here don't really have opinions on South Korea. Most people only know you through BTS. Personally, I knew a lot of Koreans in school, and I thought they were nice people. They almost exclusively socialized within their own groups though, and almost all of them had very few friends who weren't Asian
It's crazy how I didn't even know the existence of the country Korea until age 15 because no media mentioned it and no influential culture was imported.
It was that irrelevant and still kinda is. Normal people just have no idea what's going on in that area.
