Does this country have the most popular pop culture after USA?

Japanese games, anime and manga have become really popular nowadays. I think only Britain comes to mind with their music.

Pop culture? no
Sub culture? Absolutely

No. It's just weebs. Your average normalfag and boomer don't give a fuck about Japan.

I would say they are Nips.
Distinct from Gooks, Chinks, etc.

I don't think so. That only aplies to anime and manga. Jap games have been mainstream for a long time. They have a lot big franchises too.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-grossing_media_franchises

no, British culture is more popular globally you weeb nonce

Bloody Harry Potter is more famous than any book ever written by a Jap.

british culture such as...?

>What is UK

also
>Japanese games
nice meme, now kill yourself

>Japanese manga
>Popular

Such as English language and literature you nigger

the language you're speaking in for a start

you mean bloo'y 'arry po'er

language per se is culture?

The rise of weeb culture only coincides with the rise of the Incel in the west and western influenced nations.
It does not represent the culture that normal functioning people consume, no matter the mental gymnastics virgin freaks will go through.

cope kim lmao

I think you're confusing brtis with dixie

Yes.

>britis
*brits

oh you mean the language that replaced french only because of america's post-war popularity? are you going to claim all of america as british culture then?

howso?

trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=/m/05xwg,/m/078ffw
For every Harry Potter there is Pokemon niggers.
Also I think Brit culture is only more popular than Jap in the west.

what's the name of the language mate?

I think English is popular with all that colonization they did. Fuckers were going to take over the whole world.

""""""""""""english""""""""""""

Attached: 1024px-Origins_of_English_PieChart.svg.png (1024x1021, 103K)

>culture noun cul·ture | 1. the integrated pattern of human knowledge, belief, and behavior that depends upon the capacity for learning and transmitting knowledge to succeeding generations

Language fits quite well into that definition.

the "english" language is basically french/romance culture desu desu

Rock music

>retards believe this
Even if we were literally speaking a creole, how would that detract from it being a part of our culture?

No it's not, everyone is vastly more americanised than british'd and you know it, just count the amount of people in Europe and around the world in non-English speaking countries who use American words, American contractions and American spelling. How many "garbage" and "elevator" vs "rubbish" and "lift"? How many "gonna"? How many "-ize"? How many "-ter"? Every time foreigners come here and speak English, it's extremely obvious that their prononciation imitates that of the USA and not that of Britain.
How many British movies can you see in a theatre?

tv series,Musical?

I like anime and nippon history, but it's just not true only a very small percentage of the population knows Japanese culture. But for some reason even tho i consume some Japanese culture and tex they still make me sick. Asians have that effect on me

but it's literally not yours anymore, it's american culture
the FRENCH have more claim to it if you want to argue the language didn't originate in the new world
the world switched from speaking france's language to america's language, your country didn't factor into it one bit

I was comparing Britain's influence to Japan you low iq mong

D-Don't forget about Sweden guys

>Finnish Universities publish more articles on Philosophy and Humanities than Greece

Eat shit Ioannis, philosophy and the Western civilization is OURS now!

Funny that you're posting that on Jow Forums. Japanese media other than music and films are also very present around the world, I wouldn't be so quick to deem British culture as "more popular", 80 % of the anglo stuff is American. If you ask millenials and zoomers about cartoons from their childhood, they'll mention mostly Japanese anime like Dragonball or Pokémon. I personally can't think of any British cartoon that was extremely popular in the 1990's or 2000's.

>conquers 1/3rd of the globe
>"your country didn't factor into the spread of your language one bit"
English was already becoming the lingua franca before USA became the undisputed superpower.

>I don't remember watching british cartoons as a child
>therefore you are culturally irrelevant

Two quack subjects isn't much to be proud of Finlan

Japanese music and movies are completely irrelevant except few horrors and godzilla.

More like deeply influential since before you were born.

Attached: Seven-Samurai_1954.jpg (1876x1323, 648K)

Which japanese bands are more popular than the Beatles or Deep Purple?
Which japanese movies are more popular than James Bond?

I never claimed cultural irrelevancy, just that Britain is less culturally relevant than Japan.

>OTHER than music and films

British: Music,EPL(its popular hobby in Asia loool.),Literature,Play,Musical

Jap:Game,Manga,Anime,Mystery novel(Light novel shit dont count)

Play and Musical cant have strong impact on public in world. You dont watch foreign musical at home as a hobby.
But children in world watch anime at home

>Which japanese movies are more popular than James Bond?

Aren't James Bond movie series produced by a Hollywood production?

>measuring a country's influence based on how much cartoons they have
What language do those anime shows have to be translated to before coming to the west, again?
Who do you think created America got it's culture from?

Is agree with Aristotle

>What language do those anime shows have to be translated to before coming to the west, again?

American

Those are things Greece normally takes credit for, you dumb Swede.

Shut the mudslime jst because the ottomans got raped does does not mean anything. Brits never come close to conquering western Europe let alone all of it. India and Egypt was the only proper conquest everything else was people in the stone age. They didn't even knew how to explore. What a jock

If list of things Greece takes credit for is quite extensive.

Why are you like this?

Attached: pers.jpg (600x683, 33K)

>What language do those anime shows have to be translated to before coming to the west, again?
In Spain, Spanish, although in Galicia and and Catalonia they translate it to Galician and Catalan.
And yes like says whenever it's translated to English, it's to American English, not British English

No definitely not. It comes before USA because of high quality and loli
Britain also comes ahead of US because of Lord of the Rings

Music and films are a good 80% of pop culture.
What japanese fashion brands are more popular than Burberry? Japanese tv series that surpass Poirot? Japanese comedy to surpass Mr.Bean?

>Music and films are a good 80% of pop culture.
Absolutely not in 2019.
When was the last time you saw a British restaurant or played a British videogame again? BTW I don't even know the first two things you mentioned.

They are put into American English (which is of course virtually identical) because they are more likely to be watched by Americans due to the difference in population size. That is not indicative of cultural influence.

The anglo scum things Australia, Canada and other empty shit land counts as conquest

>What japanese fashion brands are more popular than Burberry?
Uniqlo?

>Japanese tv series that surpass Poirot?
Any anime series with cute lolis

>Japanese comedy to surpass Mr.Bean?
Why not monty python you nigga?

Only manchildren watch comedy and laugh, Grown adults like Japanese don't smile or laugh at all, that's the reason why Japanese don't take banter.

Britain made good games once. Current day Britain doesn't export anything worth mention though so I see your point.

You should watch gaki no tsukai.

Attached: Battletoads.png (220x303, 174K)

that literally is you mong

Uniqlo...is only popular in some Asian region.

>That is not indicative of cultural influence.
No, it's a cause of cultural influence.

Burberry is only popular among rich people

You are absolutely right. We did colonise "empty shit land". And that is exactly the point.
We went to awful, inhospitable frozen or scorching hot hellholes and turned them into some of the most successful nations in the world, on par with any long established European country.
It's not about conquest, you retard.

uniqlo has a lot of stores in the US

Is it weird to think honestly its Italy?

Food: conquer the world
Opera: Rich man's hobby in developed countries
Film: Won oscar foreign language film most, spaghetti westerm

Where did the Americans get their language from?
As a matter of fact, where did America get most of it's culture and ideology from?

Wow, which nation is that? The only thing people ever talk about is that inhospitable hellhole called the USA.

>Southwestern Australia
>New Zealand
>the North American eastern coast
>inhospitable

First time I see a Korean defending Japan.

Have you seen Australia before?

I don't gibe a fuck.

Where did England get most of *its culture and ideology from? The Roman Empire. Where did the Roman Empire get most of its culture and ideology from? Greece. Where did Greece get most of its culture and ideology from? The Levant. Where did the Levant get most of its culture and ideology from? Mesopotamia and Egypt. Guess Egypt and Iraq are the most culturally relevant countries in the world, huh?

I think Jap culture is more popular in Asia desu and maybe south america? They have a lot of immigrants there. Also France.

All ghetto nignogs and shitskins love Naruto, DBZ and One Piece here.

>Where did the Americans get their language from?
They invented time machine and English language and sent bunch of CIA agents to ancient Britain to teach them English language

The part of Australia that was settled was perfectly hospitable, they didn't fund cities right in the middle of the Outback.

Attached: clima_australia-cartina.jpg (600x370, 34K)

>Wow, which nation is that?
idk, take your pick

Attached: HDI.png (706x595, 35K)

okay, this is epic

Ireland is successful despite your efforts, not because of them.

Attached: Facetheface.jpg (171x169, 7K)

None of these are hellholes, the hellhole parts weren't even touched under British administration.

Uniqlo doesn't have a lot of stores yet in Europe (compared to H&M and Zara that are everywhere), but it's growing, and it will obliterate the other stores in the long term desu.

>overlooks the rest of canzuk
...all of which are in the top 20.

But none of that is really pop culture, it's just culture

Hear me out too you fuckers

They aren't hellholes, how come you avoid me when I point out that the developed parts of them are perfectly livable?

With the exception of NZ, they are pretty awful compared to Britain. And also keep in mind that they were very cut off from the rest of the world for a long time after their founding.
>the hellhole parts weren't even touched under British administration.
Yes they were as it just so happens that most of the resources of use were in the inhospitable regions.

Why is it that UK colonies were so successful despite their poor locations, while those of basically all other European countries are still barely first world

well of course it will be more popular in asia due to proximity. idk about france tho

yes, especially Brazil
the have the largest quantity of Japanese people outside of Japan and celebrate Japanese festivals and stuff

>cut off from the rest of the world
The reason they were colonised by Britain was because they were very well connected via the sea you mong, as far as I know the North American colonies weren't in Wyoming, Canada was literally just the region of Québec and Ontario (pretty well connected), and all major Australian cities are maritime cities.
>the resources of use were in the inhospitable region
You mean like fertile land and coal? I guess New York, Pennisylvania and Ohio are hellholes as well.

Attached: slide_30.jpg (960x720, 79K)

There are more people living in asia than outside desu. Also France has been exporting jap stuff since the 70s. They are weebs.
Yes I read something like that somewhere. There was something special about Peru too I guess?

Peru got so Jap'd they had a Jap president, based af.

This is where coal is in Australia, as it turns out they have deposits right there in the fertile and liveable regions.

Do you love Japan

Here's a couple of questions:
How many Americans are keeping track of the British Royal Family?
How many Americans are keeping track of the Japanese Royal Family?

Attached: gettyimages-115488502-612x612.jpg (612x392, 50K)

I guess. You?

>Why is it that UK colonies were so successful despite their poor locations
Because you compare "colonies" full of white people with brown reggaethon shitholes lol

I cant imagine my life without JAV... Japan really saved billions of Asian male. I am not joking. I really love and respect and am thankful of Japan.

They are savior of Asian incel who cant meet women including myself.

Or maybe it's just a deluded Brit who thinks the British settlements weren't carefully chosen BECAUSE they were extremely great locations in the first place.
