There have been more than a dozen of separatist movements in the last Half Century alone and keep in mind that Indian republic is only a little more than a half century old after independence
We have to thank the Constitution for allowing slef governance for all states

why would it? most people nowadays only know India as it is now. They weren't born during the secession movements that plagued India after independence. Why would they want their state to secede? Lots of young people like India as a multiethnic and multicultural country. Only ones triggered by this and that threaten to secede are spastics.
