Only those who have served should be eligible to vote

If you are not willing to die for your country you should not be deciding its future.

Why?

Why?

>thanks for napalm striking that village, now you can vote for the next puppet leader of the country

Only amer*cans do such things
>make bad decisions
>country collapses
>run away like a coward
sounds like a nice plan to me

There are too many fools willing to die for their countries (even now), and too few willing to work to make them better

i have autism so i will never be able to do military service i feel so sad about it ill never be able to become a real man ill forever be a little boy in a mans body.

thats so deep maaaan

they should establish a voting tax in russia of 1$

Oh wait, that'd bankrupt most Russians

haha russians are so poor lmao

>if you're not willing to die
So officers who don't go to the front line should be excluded as well

this but only male white land owning protestants over 25

only land owners with an iq above 110 should be eligible to vote

Grasspainter cope

Only people who share my opinions should be allowed to vote.

Everyone should be able to vote, but only women's and non-white immigrants' votes should count

only those who had sex should be eligible to vote

So I fucked your mom, that means I can vote :^)

german on vacation

If countries worked like private companies, only those who contribute to the company (shareholders), in this case, taxpayers, would be the only ones eligible to vote as they are the ones funding the government. Regarding your argument, I agree that conscripts should be eligible to vote, as they are actually paying a 100% tax rate (their life), s if they survive they can continue voting indefinitely

>white
*English
This applies to every country btw.

Define English

Reminder that originally only merchants could vote.

makes sense, every US soldier should get a vote in the israeli elections

I find myself agreeing with a Russian. I don't like it.

The social contract should have some sort of insensitive attached to make those who wish to partake give back to the defense of said social contract. But mandatory conscription for voting rights is not a good one.

In a perfect world it would make sense. You serve to defend your right to vote; thereby, gaining said right. But if the federal army decides to invade a foreign nation which actions you stand against. Why should your right to vote be hindered by (in your own eyes) serving in an unjustified war.

A personal example, I fully support and champion Americanism and the US Constitution and ideal. But I would NEVER serve to fight in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, etc. Should my God given right to vote be hinged on the fact I don't want to serve in wars which I stand against for moral and political reasons?

If you had conscription, your country would not be able to fight such wars. The people would not accept it. Just look at what happened with Vietnam. The backlash from the public was so great that the war was lost and your government has had to resort to using hired killers to fight all its colonial wars since.

Only land owners should be able to vote.
