The food

The filth

the poo

The bhabhis

roadside romeo

That there's lots of Muslims there

The stereotypes

Nothing.

The food
Everything else about India belongs in the bin
That they'd eat. They'd eat the bin. They'd probably pray to it.

The British parts

The mongol parts in the NE culturally distinct from poo hustlers IMO

it's far away

The rape.

Yeah, the bits of British architecture here and there are the best parts of India

Bit of a far shot to ask that to a board dedicated to the respectful discussion of international culture but instead populated by people who're completely incapable of doing so...

Their delicious butthurtness :3

white servants

Nah. The only impressive British architecture is shivaji terminal.

Not really that impressive tbqh.

The fact that they are probably the most friendly Asian power to the west.

I'd much rather have an Indian super power than Pakistan, China, Korea, Japan or Russia.

They value social interaction and strong families

Been to India about a dozen times and genuinely don't know at this point. I like a lot about the country and its people, but I can't put my finger on a single thing. Honestly, everything is just kind of a mixed bag.

I will say that I love being able to get just about anything off the street. That's symptomatic of poverty and a lack of regulatory oversight, but whatever--I don't have to live with it, at least if I don't want to. Pretty nice to be able to walk down any half-busy street, pay for a $.10 cup of tea and and a $.20 cigarette. Go a bit farther, grab some cheap-ass kebabs and a plate of delicious food for less than you'd pay for a McDouble here.

Rural and tribal India. Cant find such people I can relate to elsewhere. Maybe in other preindustrial societies. :/
