Wut? It's the basic bitch of berry bushes here. Everyone with a sizeable yard have them.

Cloudberry. Mild and sweet aroma, grows in swamps.

Don't look very tasty or juicy. We get some kind of equivalent here which is just dry.
don't make me reverse search a fruit. Just give me the fucking name.
Never heard of it. Closes thing for me to guess was Grapes or Mulberry. also, I'm not retarded.
Hmm. Will Check.

Don't know how common these fruits are in your cunt:
1. Custard Apples
2. Carambola (star fruit)
3. Bael (wood apple)
4. Karonda

None of those of course don't grow here, but carambola has been imported for a relatively long time and can be found in the biggest stores at least. I think all other three are unknown for me.

I think they're called medlar in English. You don't have them there? We have all yours except rambutan

do you eat the seeds in the fig?

Apparently Americans don't have blackcurrants, shame because they're the best

These are pawpaw fruits, native to the eastern USA

They're difficult to commercialize because they ripen at random times

Being a Commiefornian I've never eaten one, but I'd like to try it someday

What flavour is their Ribena then?

Kek it would be complicated otherwise. They're delicious btw probably one of the best fruits

vocaroo how this is pronounced.

they look so weird to me, like passion fruit.

Pic related are fucking delicious but sadly they're so expensive I rarely eat them

Passion fruit seeds are bigger. Figs seeds are really small you'd barely notice them.

Nope. Looks pretty nice. What does it taste like?

HOLY SHIT. Red currants and Black Currants. Now I understand. i'm too old to have not known this before. We get Black currant flavoured ice cream here and i never thought about the fruit.

Looks interesting.

I wonder if there are some really bizarre fruits and veggies with surprisingly different tastes than the ones we have?

>Persimmons
Those are called caquis here. They were pretty common in the past.

Actually it's more like they can't be shipped fresh because they ferment rapidly after being picked.

I haven't had much indian fruit, but an old friend gave me a packet of amla once and I loved it.

I always thought they are common only in Russia

They're not so good they're very, very sour. But they're good in meat stews etc

This is the winter version of this IIRC. Btw do you make quince jelly in India? It's delicious

Aguaymanto. Can't think of something else right now, though I know that there are quite a handful of more rare fruits down here.

Forgot to post this

Never had quince. :/ Is the jelly similar to apricot Jam?
From the wiki link, Medlar seems to be preddy common in Europe. Had not even heard of it before today.
Nice. Are all Gooseberry's sour to taste? Indian Gooseberry (Amla) in pic

I've never hear westerner talking about this fruit.

I must be honest with you, I've never eaten Aguaymanto (Goldenberry) in my whole life.
But if you want to see more about this fruit along with other rare fruits from my cunt you can visit
peru.info/en-us/superfoods/super-fruits
The site itself describes Aguaymanto's flavour as
>bitter and sweet and sour and has a delicious aroma.

Well its similar because its sweet, but its jelly so the texture is different. It's easy to make I used to help my grandma doing it
Didn't even knew that existed t bh
