Since Canada wasn't included The Toronto Star recreated the study in Toronto where 85% of wallets were returned (2nd only to Helsinki at 92%) and in Atlantic Canada, the poorest part of the country, 9 out of 12 wallets there were returned, tied with Mumbai for 2nd behind Helsinki.

Only one wallet was received in Lisbon, Portugal. The reported reception was also made by a Dutch tourist, not by locals.....kkkk

In Norway and Denmark, all the wallets returned 100 percent.

Singapore was next with 90 percent. Korea, along with Australia and Japan, was 70 percent.

It is tied for fourth place, followed by 67 percent for the United States, 65 percent for Britain, 60 percent for France, 50 percent for the Netherlands and 45 percent for Germany.

Mexico, on the other hand, had the lowest recall rate of 21 percent, followed by China with 30 percent, Italy with 35 percent and the Philippines with 40 percent.
