Miners report!

Are you mining for 600% profit on electricity costs everyday biz?

>60% of my hashpower on most profitable switch, ensuring $USD into my account everyday
>40% goes to speculative HODL mining

My current speculative coin of choice is AION.

>How often are hardware upgrades essential (if ASIC)?
>Preferred tools handling bios, clock/voltage, and especially memory timings (if gpu)?
Haven't mined in a while but think I could do well with building out, installing hardware, and and configure/build management programs for small mining farms. Market it to super boomers as the future equivalent of buying a rental property. Any thoughts?

why don't you just go 100% profit and spend 40% on coins you want to hold dumbass

This. OP is dumb

>OP is not dumb
>OP runs a $8M farm
>OP can also claim back electricity cost and work hours on mined coins for tax purposes, reducing CGT drastically in comparison to just purchasing.
>OP also much prefers supporting network infrastructure growth by mining in turn supporting higher returns generally.

Buy and HODL, don't mine!

>the meme continues so miners get fatter. thx.

Enjoy trading meme charts with fancy lines and triangles whilst getting fucked in the ass by big red dildos.

We only have one ASIC type and that's SHA-256 for BTC. We have scaled our SHA-256 ASICS this year due to 2000 S9's. Manufacturers knowingly hitting a wall in terms of thermodynamics and chip fabrication. They can no longer make the chips drastically more efficient so upgrades are no longer a concern, it's rather quantity now. We don't speculate on other ASIC hardware due to this fact. 80% of our farm is NVIDIA GPU's (1070ti/1080ti), being robust enough for multi algo hashing. We run custom linux distro, no voltage mods, powerlimit feature for PASCAL NVIDIA is sufficient and does not void warranties (all OC handled by NVIDIA-SMI).

Nice LARP bro.

Shall I make a video of myself sticking a sharpie in my pooper whilst in the hot isle?

just shut up man, no one cares

"No one cares" wow biztard of the year here, doesn't like free money.

I'll continue responding to anyone that would like insight.

>have solar power

Thanks for the info. Is there any way to control the type of video memory you get when buying gpus? I'd imagine it matters less at scale.

I have free electricity and I stopped my 1080ti from mining because it returns a measly 1-2 dollars per day. It paid itself off at least but I think it's not worth frying it for that return

It's luck of the draw when going with base-mid range models, going with gaming/OC editions will usually be your best bet for better quality RAM. Our brand of choice is Gigabyte/EVGA with their AUROS and OC editions.

don't know anything about mining, but i always pay attention on the prices of the mining rigs, as the proverbial 'lipstick indicator' of crypto.

there was quite the sell-off in the past few months, but guess what... they are starting to catch a bid again. lmao

Whered ya get $8m from to start?

Will you guys be upgrading to the next-gen Nvidia gpus coming in August?

Rumored 12nm and DDR6, could be a big boost to mining efficiency

Why not tune your card down to ~60% power usage, thermally sound and still generates that kind of profit on equihashX algos, something like AION for example.

Our suppliers have not heard a thing in regards to release dates. One believes we will likely see a re-brand of the current series, no new chips for some time to come.

What about liquidity? How hard is to convert shitcoins to usd at a large scale without getting raped by fees?

Your mom.

Started out in the garage, scaled to 100 GPU's 2 years ago. Made a decent amount in ETH. Got business partners and went large scale last year.

According to all the rumors they'll be 12nm (vs 16nm on the 10x series) and use GDDR6

That's a huge huge upgrade if true and will render older cards obsolete

isnt equihash taken over by asics? anyway, there is a new algorithm coming soon called lbk3, i suggest since you hodl mine that you look it up, all new algo coins moon at one point ;)

wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-next-gen-graphics-card-announcement-20-august-gamescom-2018/

Our profit switch does not mine shitcoins with 1k daily volume. We also take advantage of maker taker markets.

Equihash yes, forks of the algo using different N K numbers no.

If US what kind of regulations or roadblocks did you encounter when scaling?
How do you offset/prevent property costs?
How loud is everything onsite? Like earplugs level? I know its only asics that are loud but a shitton of then probably makes an irritating sound at best

Their big surprise will be a re-imagined GTX 1080 ti lol

>those figures represent major enhancements in BUS and MEM speed primarily, which are not super useful in solver functions. CUDA cores and clock frequencies I'd be interested in.

This thread is an AION shill thread tbqh.

Had to get sign off on electrics by local gov, that took months before we had our first transformers onsite.

Inside is louder than a fucking jet engine and your mom last night but we have pretty thick insulation so it's not too bad from the outside, closest neighbour is 30ft away and they have no complaints.

What's your cooling setup? Flow path of air? I'm running out of my garage, using about 175 cfm per rig for cooling

Indeed. Go mine it and sell to me bro.

Kel. How many rigs per leg (I think thats the term for each electrical feed into a building)? Is heat dissipation something to worry about at scale? Outside of just hvac and ac mainly

Are you mining on luxor pool? I think I see your rig

That's not how solar power works, dumbass

Thinking about buying an antminer z9 mini

Never mined asic before but I did with gpus. They don't ship till September and I worry that zcash might fork to fuck the asics. Figured it's better than sitting on bleeding shitcoins because I'll at least turn a profit after some months

such a waste

0xBTC is my speculative mining hodl. It’s the first ever mineable ERC20 token. No premine, no ICO, no bullshit, no team, etc. it’s just a smart contract. It’s code authority. This attracted me as it’s all community around 0xBitcoin. It’s worth $0.81 right now with a 21,000,000 max supply and 3M circulating. You’d have to be stupid to not see the potential in this. Mine it and hodl it. It’s crazy that more people aren’t catching on, but then again most people on Jow Forums are retarded and poor, you won’t get much good info around here. Don’t trust me or anyone else. Do your own digging on it, it’s gonna be huge.

This. DYOR dudes

I can't use my solar power to mine?
please explain how it works

You done goofed

you can store excess amounts of energy if and when theres any surplus meaning you could mine at night

so instead of using the surplus as it's generated, you think it's better to store it and us it later for some reason, even though that would be way less efficient?

>Minan ETH with JUST 2 RX 570s this late in the game

small miner here, cryptonight for the summer
