Not first world, but it could probably become passable enough. Keep in mind that over the past half century the people living in abject poverty dropped from 40% of the world's population to 10%, mostly in China and Africa. It IS getting better, though I doubt they'll ever become like Europe (though maybe they can become like "Europe" in that they'll end up Balkan tier or Portugal tier).

African cities like Lagos, Kinshasa and Dar es Salaam will literally become cyberpunk mega cities. The city of Lagos is projected to have a population of 80+ million people. Future large African cities will have a ton of super-tall skyscrapers but also a lot of poverty and slums.

It's simple, there are 54 nations and 2 autonomous regions that identify as nations in Africa for a total of 56 and 24 of them have a lower homicide rate than the USA which is at 5.35 per 100k people. These countries range from very safe Burkina Faso at 0.37 to Zambia that is only marginally safer than the US at 5.3
24 is 42.8% of 56, I chose to round down so as not to seem unfair towards America

Yeah, welcome to the global economy you dumb piece of shit. If you have money and foreigners do something for cheaper than domestic firms, you hire foreign firms. It's why you're wearing Chinese and Bangladeshi jeans while driving a German car to eat at a French restaurant. If they were "still slaves" (even though the slaves were mostly being shipped to the Americas?), they wouldn't be able to pay those firms in the first place. Or do you somehow think building skyscrapers is part of humanitarian aid?
