in poland even private companies get publicly shamed on social media for having bad quality of service, or put unhealthy ingredients in food, or don't plant enough trees as part of their development projects, and it actually works in many cases

Think it's more a case of never having been occupied by a foreign power in recent times. Which, I think, has let to a general view that whatever the government does is right, since the government never has been really oppressive to such a degree that it warranted rebellion.
