Do we really need a SWIFT confirmation? Isn't it already glaringly obvious? I really don't expect to hear Chainlink mentioned by a lot of these organizations. They will promote their services that utilize Chainlink, but unless they are spelling out the details of how the services work technically, they won't mention the middleware that they are using. Their customers/clients don't really give a shit about who they are using for middleware, they just care about the end product. While I would be thrilled with official announcements, like Accord, I don't expect a lot of them.

It's not really glaringly obvious that swift banks will use the chainlink network and pay node operators in link tokens. It's plausible, but there's hardly confirmation, though I agree, it's hard to see why sergey would drop what he was doing with swift to work on chainlink.

There would be some sort of confirmation. They and other banking and financial institutions make announcements every day about piloting various, fairly uninteresting new technologies and software that run in the background that largely go ignored. The only difference is that you care about this one.

you've got to remember, Sergey didn't just get signed on for a one-off PoC. He's been associated with SWIFT since 2014 in some capacity (along with other blockchain startups). Remember too, Rory has repeatedly said they are still working with swift and he would tell the community if anything changed wrt to that. The "made man" theory has floated around for a while but not brought up much anymore.
