maybe move out of your $3000/mo rent liberal hellhole and you won't need an absurdly high minimum wage to survive

just dont take a job that's paying under $15, problem solved.

REEEEE BUT I LOVE LIVING AMONGST AIDS RIDDEN HEROIN ADDICTS SHOOTING UP IN PLAIN SIGHT

largest amount of heroin addicts per capita are found in fly over states but okay whatever

>friendly reminder

go back to twitter

The market should determine what a business pays employees, not government law.

not that simple, most people don't have a choice. and when market greed is prevalent, they are skimming off the top, charging more, and paying less. it is the maximization of profits (often internationally) over social duty. corporations must serve, not rule

>if you can't pull money out of thin air while doing an endless series of time-consuming legal and financial gymnastics, you have a broken business model
this is unironically, literally how socialists think

Wrong, government has a vested interest in protecting its people and making sure they are not taken advantage of.

friendly reminder that if a worker doesn't have the skills to earn $15/hr then it has no use in modern society and should not exist. adapt or die.

>taken advantage of
if your too dumb to get paid a good wage then you are not getting taken advantage of. if anything, by adding minimum wages, the govt is taking advantage of business owners not having enough power to resist the state

>i like supply and demand curves only when it suits my agenda

>he thinks the government protects people

I bet you also think the governments grants you rights as well

you basedboys aren't going to make it

if your business cannot survive within the ecosystem of the law then it should not exist. you are asking for a form of corporate welfare.

the labor force participation rate is in freefall. our economy will either adapt or die. user is not wrong.

corporations have no social duty except:

1) Make money for its shareholders.
2) Obey the laws of the land.

A corporation using shareholder money for various "social causes" is violating basic business ethics.

>adapt or die

You could say the same thing for people who demand higher wages.

>implying you aren't taking advantage of people by demanding that businesses pay wages they literally cannot pay without going bankrupt
You said it yourself: It will kill businesses.
You're taking opportunities away from people who are willing to work for less than $15 for your own greed. Raising the minimum wage effectively prices young people and those otherwise lacking experience out of the market.

*automates your job*
heh, nothing personnel kid

ya dude. you're totally right. they should just adapt to not having enough money to eat. its not like your employees need food to survive

minimun wage laws are a form of corporate welfare you dumb shit

large companies can afford to pay higher wages while their smaller and somtimes cheaper competitors may not be able to afford to pay higher wages

>gobernment pls protect me from those young unskilled people who are willing to work for less to economically advance their standing.

this is literally you.

There is no "the people". there is only special interests.

an corporation is not a human, you may have corporate "personhood" but a corporation is not a human. people can exist without corporations, not the other way around. therefore humans are more valuable.

>business ethics
>greed ethics

If the law of the land is $15/hr then what is the complaint?

if you automate half of the jobs, then you can pay what workers you still have more money....so explain to me why real wages have fallen in a growing economy...

doesnt matter if its 1/hr or 15/hr, automation will always happen.

hahahahahhahahahah

>I want high wages
>I also want endless amounts of third-worlders to move to my country to massively oversaturate the workforce and drive wages into the dust

Attached: images.jpg (444x331, 11K)

Or they can reduce the price of the goods that consumers they buy

Or they can save that the money and expand and hire new employees

I don't support either

>high wages
I support livable wages which have not risen with cost of living, inflation, and increased productivity and relative profits

read basic economics

Right on! You're a failed businessman if you can't do this after a few years of operation.

What does that have to do with running a successful business?

Not the issue - if you can't *afford* to pay them 15p/h you've failed. Whether you do or don't is determined by market forces.

>failed businessman detected

Yes. So let's adapt by being employers not the (un)employed.

profit sharing is the first thing you do. you pay your fucking employees. everything else comes second

People aren't valuable just for existing. In today's society, most people can't survive without some form of employment, which businesses provide. If people can exist without corporations, then they should employ themselves instead of demanding a minimum wage.

he isnt asking to be paid for "just existing." he's asking to receive proper payment for services rendered. go fuck yourself

Go burn in hell, worthless trash. Proper payment is market value.

lol and market value is determined by jeff bezos's tweets and elon musks farts. get the fuck out of here. the market is due for a correction if you seriously think that 8/hr is okay

You get fuck out here, you lazy piece of shit. If you're think you're worth more than 8/hr, then go prove it.

You want nobody to invest in your country, because thats how you get nobody to invest in your country.

We'll prove it by passing new legislation :^)

i could take a wet shit in an applebees and it would be worth more than 8/hr. its not something i feel the need to prove

t. Works for dad

those places don't have junkie tent cities like the west coast does, dipshit

t. takes advantage of people for a living. probably actually works for dad

Go ahead pass the new legislation. Businesses are just going cut hours/automate/and remove more full-time positions.

>implying they are not doing this regardless

>legislation
maybe at the local level

$15/hr could maybe be reasonable in places like SF/NYC/LA/Seattle etc, but there's no way it would fly in 90% of the rest of the country.

why no one ever considers the locality of the market when talking about this is beyond me.

They're going to ramp it up, including shutting down locations. You guys are just going to price yourselves out.

This some BS. $15 an hour, why not $14 or $24? Pulling some random number out of your ass. Cost of living in New York, Dallas, Anchorage are all the same right? Real fair.

Do you want your government to tell you what the maximum hourly wage may be? If not, fuck off with your mandated $15 an hour. Businesses are just going to hire less worker thats willing to work harder than before. Net job lost

a company that doesnt have any employees but still makes money out the ass would have to pay a retarded amount of taxes and put the money toward the general public. at least it would if it wants anybody to be around to buy the products or services that they are offering

>$8/hour
>Not enough to eat

t. Mom feeds him

do you live in zimbabwe...cause ya 8/hr is not enough to eat and have a roof over your head

wow your too smart for me. where did you learn how to be so smart. is it all the cum you've been guzzling lately??????????

>do you live in zimbabwe
Close enough.

Right. The same state that stops the rabble from stealing your shit by motivating them to work and taxing them for the privilege. In setting a minimum wage, in the absence of UBI, they're protecting you from yourself.

Friendly reminder that if a person cannot make $15/hr without price controls forcing their burger flipper jobs to pay that much, then that person is a failure and should not exist. Adapt or die.

To be honest, I would be more comfortable with genocide by starvation than letting these sacks of shit get a free ride, because let's be honest, that's pretty close to what they're advocating for.

Attached: 1524169435597.jpg (1127x699, 167K)

>im ok with a world where only the most massive bilderburg businesses can afford to operate
>i cant see the bigger picture because im a brainlet
why $15?
why not $50? or $5000 an hour?

Listen you aren't suppose to be living off minimum wage forever.

Over time you are expected to develop skills that warrant a higher salary.

If a 16 year old with no experience can get the job, it's not skilled labor.

Go get better at things rather than expecting to be paid more for flipping the same burger over and over.

If you remain stagnant, you deserve the pay stagnation brings.

there is a huge different between giving the retards in this picture a free ride....and paying your employees for working....i agree that if you dont want to work then you can die....but if you offer somebody a job, it better be worth the work that is being done

The West is just repatriating all that money that was invested in China. We outsourced pollution and human misery and kept the same standard of living by borrowing it. Now, we're letting that capital come home to balance the ledger and, sadly, that capital likes to 50-50 in real estate. Don't worry though, user, the West will absorb those Chinese in a few generations and leave Asia a polluted, festering hole. But in the meantime, all that speculated real estate means businesses need to better compensate their labour.

it kept telling me my post was spam so i had to type it like that. sorry.

>huge difference
>it better be worth the work that is being done
Lol no. A lot of the "work" these retards perform isn't even worth $7.25
Minimum wage outta be a lot lower hahaha

my grandfather made glass bottles in a factory for a living...owns a nice house...you are wrong...

Nobusinessman detected, you'll be lucky to even turn a profit in a few years especially if you insist on hiring at a premium.

unironically go kill yourself hahahaha

those people look physically ill
pale skin, bad posture, either too fat or too skinny, ragged clothes, they look like they smell. fuck

kinda makes me want to stand up for whatever they are fighting against. because people this sickly looking cant possibly be right about anything.

>bragging about having a retarded boomer grandfather with no skills
Don't forget that they had life on easy mode. You could make a living working part time at a grocery store in those days.

>cannot afford

Okay. Now here's a reminder that you're a shit businessperson if you can get away with paying lower wages to increase profits and don't. Employees aren't entitled to shit beyond minimum wage, and shouldn't even be entitled to that. If you don't like the wage offered, don't work there.

UBI and closed borders will end the cartel of government and business colluding to force us the price of free labor downward

Once companies have to pay the FAIR cost of labor, wages will remain low, and prices high

...and growth in the economy means that such a job should be better...not worse

Pretty much this. Employees should think of themselves as a business. If your business can't make $15/hr without crying to the government to force the cash flow to come in, then your business shouldn't exist. Pretty ironic that these subhumans are guilty of something on par with government bailouts.

end wage labor entirely, end the relationship of employer and employee aka slavery

and that should not have been rewarded. baby boomer era is gone.

there was once a time you could walk up to empty land, build a house and claim the land as yours. times change. this is capitalism working as it should. demanding each generation be better than the previous.

unskilled garbage are thrown in the military to be fodder so someone else can at least use your body to make some money.

Growth in the economy means that such a job won't even exist in a decade lol. So who's going to hire your worthless bottle factory ass when you don't have any useful skills? You are looking less and less deserving of $15, with each passing second

So you pay everyone 15 an hour then the price of everything goes up. Do you really think the company/s will pay for the wage difference? Or will they just up price everything and you will be demanding 20 an hour in 3 years? Don’t be a fucking tool demand real jobs come back to the US. Get a trade job, go to school for a degree that’s practical. No one wants someone w a masters in lesbian dance theory. People need personal responsibility, and to do things to better ones life. It’s a choice to go work for a wage. Forcing a wage is like rape to small mom and pop shops who count pennies to stay competitive with massive corporations. Fix the money, fix the people, and fix out sourcing jobs.

this
Give me free shit
People should just give me things just for existing, just for being me

as long as a job exists you have to pay people to do that job. eat a bag of dicks fren

All a minimum wage does is make jobs that pay less illegal.

>flip burger
>hnnggggg i deserver £7.50 every hour i do this

just kys. unskilled cunt. especially this day and age where any non-retard can learn javascript, react, mongodb and node in less than 6 months. no reason you need to stay in that job

Hunger, thirst and a desire for things is what motivates people to work

>you have to pay
...the agreed-upon wage. Stop complaining because your worthless ass can only make $7.25. That's already basically a free handout, considering how much your shitty labor is actually worth.

Tip: there's a reason we had to set that minimum wage. Worthless fucks like you would literally starve to death.
$7.25/hr minimum wage is literally charity. Prove me wrong

Kick out the faggot migrant scabs deflating earnings potential for workers u faggot

so according to you unskilled laborers should just die...so that then there are no more unskilled laborers...to...you know...do the labor...

nah, there's always more mexicans

the state of the modern economy is already proving you wrong. why would i????

if you ever want to know why ching chongs cant innovate its literally because there isn't capitalism.

and the ching chongs that do innovate? americans... same thing with indians. weird isnt it?

its almost like every1 having unequal grounds creates an environment where people strive harder to better themselves and in return move society forward.

no. i agree with minimum wage. it prevents people from dying like you said. but you . most certainly do not "deserve" it. and you sure as shit shouldnt be complaining for more.

Do you also apply this reasoning to people who are so dumb/crippled/etc. that their labor will never be worth $15/hr?

Attached: N8wgefC6YTgb_g_mOSaHfcW_pXpxHABlcXxqxGlSTno.jpg (960x677, 109K)

thanks for the lecture dad

>The state of the modern economy
You can't just say some vague thing and then pretend like it proves your point. The sky is blue, that proves you wrong about your thoughts on time travel!

In other words, actually make a valid point or just shut the fuck up.

youre arguing with a bunch of 17 year old americans that dont even pay for their own health insurance, they have no idea what its like to actually work, not be lazy, budget properly and still be poor. they literally cannot fathom it because theyve lived in the capital county their entire life.

tl;dr youre arguing with a bunch of undergrads paying tuition with daddys money.

its almost like you dont have internet access....most places that arent america are doing the majority of actual innovation. america reinvents taxi services and thinks they just gave virgin birth to the messiah. lol acting like creating a really neat way to ship things is innovation. we've been shipping things since the silk road. go fuck yourself. and then go fuck jeff bezos

>unskilled laborers should just die
>so that then there are no more unskilled laborers to do the labor
How are they going to do the labor if they're not skilled to do it?

this guy hit the nail on the head, the real reason you're demanding higher wages is because your current skill level isn't enough to feed and clothe yourself in America... you should move to Mexico, cost of living is a lot more affordable to someone of your, uh... "quality"

Oh yeah? What country are you from? Where's your Amazon?

let me explain 4 years of economics courses to you in a Jow Forums post real quick...wait...no...i'd rather choke one out

If you can't explain in one or two sentences why $7.25 is not literally charity for worthless unskilled fucks like yourself, then you're probably wrong lol

What I don't understand from capitalists is theyre pretending now like the labor isnt creating the surplus value thats being taken. Also, you 16 year olds don't realize that america is a consumer economy, it runs by us buying shit. If no one has money to buy shit, they use debt, when their is no more debt to issue and no more investors to buy debt, it all comes crashing down. this system is not sustainable, at the very least labor organization and increased wages would be a benefit from the market as people can save for education, homes and other socioeconomic boosting purchases/experiences.

Attached: wagegrowth.png (620x381, 11K)

well...you're not wrong

im from america. and i'm telling you that amazon is overpriced and killing their lower level employees. im telling you that amazon didnt revolutionize anything other than the best way to break peoples backs without paying them anything and deflecting responsibility when they want medical treatment.
