I just fomo'd my last $41k of cash into 150k more link and 6M Holo over the last week or so, before the great justing we're seeing today.
Fuck me I could have gotten some req, too.
I am at 300k/300k/6M link/JNT/Holo.
Who else comfy but wish they bought more?
I cashed out half my 401k, took out a $20k loan, let my credit card debt pile up till now, where I have $11k in debt and $1.4k left before my credit cards are maxed out, and I've put all my bonuses and stock into crypto this year.
The car dude made me realize this is probably pretty crazy, going into debt and also cashing out my 401k.
Dominic Price
I just hope I can make it to 17M Holo and 100k req by end of year without giving up any link or jnt desu. Such good prices right now, but I have rent and other shit to worry about. I don't think I'll be able to buy any more crypto until November.
Jonathan Baker
I think Link and JNT are solid choices but holo is a huge fucking meme but it is your money. If I were you I would sell all the holo for more of the other two.
Blake Perez
don't listen to this user, he doesn't have any facts. and it he does i will counter them for any anons lurking. i have 100m and i'm all in.
I'm a full-time solidity developer and ethereum can't fucking scale to the level that holo can - I called ethereum at $40 btw
my portfolio is 100% betting against ethereum
Landon Jenkins
Holy shit, for reals? Post proof and I'll make a religion out of your for your massive balls. I'm holding 12k link.. a poor student fag
Holo seems like a good moonshot. I imagine it either fails and I'm burning money or it becomes the next eth.
Worth throwing $10k at it imo.
So far I have only thrown abouuuut $3.6k at it though.
Joshua Taylor
>I'm a full time solidity developer Okay cool so tell me all about the technology Holo has and point me to the test net where I can run Holo. You have clearly spent plenty of time using the Holo network if you know that it can scale much better.
Angel Gray
>he thinks theres a centralized "testnet" >he doesnt understand that each app is its own chain
So tell me how much you have used it. I need transaction tests with heavy loads. I need actual specifications and use. Don't point me to a fucking medium article I want hard proof of things functioning as stated.
>i have 100m and i'm all in. Holy fuck, I just did the math on that. Did you get in before anyone on biz heard about it or did you seriously throw $30-50k into it? That's some serious confidence.
Camden Watson
i've read a lot of the source code for the apps I linked here I've set up the hcdev tools and downloaded + compiled apps and dicked around - not sure what you want me to say other than it looks extremely promising - primarily because of "intrinsic data integrity" and "agent-centric design"
riddle me this, do miners in china have to validate our conversation we're having right now? are they checking our syntax? or are we doing it ourselves, with knowledge of the english language and its rules - something each of us in this thread know. if you understand this distinction (centralized authority/ledger vs local p2p syntax/rules) you understand why holochain will rape the fuck out of any centralized blockchain
Andrew Davis
Congratulations they invented a fucking server.
Noah Jones
i've been aware of the metacurrency and ceptr project before the ICO - which i could not participate in being an ameriburger
i've been in crypto since the early days on Jow Forums, mined some dogecoin after some people shilled it and i realized i had a decent mining rig sitting inside my desktop (a single 7970, but i made 1k at the time and bought myself a new laptop on newegg)
Christian Scott
Also a developer here. I haven't read the Holo white paper yet, that's one of the reasons why I have hesitated to take a significant position. Another is link fomo. Even if Holo takes over and eth dies, seems like link could still be a solid bet.
I agree with you on betting against eth, though.
I just read the first part, where it compared Holo to git and explained that you can think of Bitcoin in terms of validator, input, etc. functions.
Just the idea of having a bunch of blockchains operating in parallel like each app is its own git repo seems like a shower thought that is actually kind of amazing and the sort of thing I'd get excited about imagining even if nobody was working on it yet.
6M Holo at these prices is like getting 3000 eth when eth was a little over $1.
I might actually try to sneak an extra $100-200/mo into Holo hahaha
Lincoln Wright
you are unironically a brainlet and i hope for your inevitable suicide - remember this thread.
fyi a "server" is the equivalent of a centralized authority - which is what i was talking about in my last post. you are literally too dumb for holochain and thats fine - you can buy my bags after they 100x and i take a vacation to japan with all my friends
Levi Allen
Niiiiice! I'm new. I started lurking biz the weekend that antshares mooned.
Robert Smith
all apps for holochain are also composable and inter-changable - which makes ethereum smart contracts look like clunky ass legos.
each app's DNA can be interlinked with others, into a whole new app.
Gabriel Sanders
This seems like a good sign, if you've played with it and are still confident. I will finish the white papers, at least. :)
Please tell me how you are getting your holofuel as an Ameriburger since you need to do KYC for your decentralized network. And how you also have to register with them.
You clearly don't know what you are talking about because it is still centralized. You are trying to lure in actual brainlets with your fucking non-sense.
Isaac Sanchez
holofuel is just a launchpad for normies to use hApps without the resources necessary to contribute to the chain- i'm a developer you fucking idiot, why do I need holofuel when I can write my own app without it?
also holofuel isnt necessary to use holochain apps, its only if the developer sets it up to use holofuel as the medium of exchange. holochains are more suitable for reputation currencies and things needed for local p2p apps like games
Carson Carter
holofuel and holo hosting are centralized - yes
we're talking about holochains as a platform - which anyone is free to use and implement how they see fit. holofuel is the first currency for holochains, much like btc was the first currency for blockchains
Nathaniel Moore
pajeeeeeeeet
Charles Rivera
Thank you for admitting HOT was fucking worthless but at the same time trying to equate it to BTC like it was relevant.
David Baker
HOT isn't worthless - i was saying that I have no need to hold it past the exchange window because I can actually create value from my coding abilities, which is the whole reason why I'm so confident in holochain and not boomer bitcoin (which can't even scale past 8 decimal digits, making it absolutely worthless for nano/microtx)
Brody Perry
>i'm a developer you fucking idiot, why do I need holofuel when I can write my own app without it? In response to it being a centralized shitcoin that YOU can't even exchange >HOT isn't worthless - i was saying that I have no need to hold it past the exchange window because I can actually create value from my coding abilities
You see in your haste to win each argument you didn't actually think ahead. You have admitted that it is a centralized shitcoin, it has no intrinsic value as each chain is basically its own chain and HOLO is only relevant to one and you can't even exchange it if you are a burger without breaking the law.
Thank you for playing.
Aiden Robinson
you're a fucking faggot nigger and you know it - thanks for playing
Jow Forums is absolutely shit when you faggot eurocucks wake up, so snarky and so goddamned insufferable
to any anons reading this - DYOR
Logan Campbell
>Gets blown the fuck out >Resorts to namecalling and buzzwords Naturally my friend. Better luck next time. Just hope when you next shill it someone who actually knows better isn't reading the thread.
