Just incase theres any newbies reading, coinbase owners and investors have tons of ETC because when Ether forked into Ether and Ether Classic, they got the same amount of ETC as ETH. Same reason they added Bitcoin Cash, to pump the price and dump their large holdings. Otherwise theyd have to send to a competitors exchange to sell their forked coins.
