Yes, they are. People get imprisoned.

I think alphabets are more aesthetic.

m8 most countries generally have free speech. you just can't call for the genocide of a specific group.

just learn all of them at once lmao

We all go through this my fren, just stick to Russian for now since it's more relevant to you.

Your alternative map is conflicting with reality. Spain and Georgia have legal weed, Netherlands don't.

Adios, based front bottoms poster

Nope. Almost all of those countries have convictions for 'hate speech' going sofar as to include any anti-immigrant rhetoric. Geert Wilders was arrested and convicted in the Netherlands for saying that he'd accept a certain law for "a few less Moroccans". That's all it took for an actual politician to be dragged in the courts.

Sweden, UK, France, Germany have all arrested dozens of boomers each just for anti-immigrant rhetoric on Facebook and Twitter.

It's not just "gas the kikes, race war now". It is an erosion on civil liberties and Canada is not free from it. Just accept it.

>Quiero comérmelo
I'd say

It just seems like fear mongering from the media. I don't think people get arrested often.

How about a real challenge instead of just translation? For the sake of anonymity, fictional answers are encouraged.

Easy (foundations):
>Write a quick self-introduction in your target language (no requirement that it be true)

Lower-Intermediate (report):
>Tell us how the weather is today in your target language, and what you think of it (no requirement that it be true)

True Intermediate (summarization):
>Introduce an important cultural artifact from your home country, be it a book, film, painting, video game, or any such thing, in your target language. Explain what makes it special in a short paragraph in your target language, including details, examples, and justification.

Upper-Intermediate (summarization plus comprehension):
>Go to wikipedia in your target language and find a random article, or go to a news website in your target language and find a random article. Summarize that article in a short paragraph in your target language, including details, examples, and causes.

Hard (production plus cultural awareness):
>Write a humorous story in the space of a short paragraph in your target language. Native speakers must at least understand why it's supposed to be funny.

>Introduce an important cultural artifact from your home country, be it a book, film, painting, video game, or any such thing, in your target language. Explain what makes it special in a short paragraph in your target language, including details, examples, and justification.

>Go to wikipedia in your target language and find a random article, or go to a news website in your target language and find a random article. Summarize that article in a short paragraph in your target language, including details, examples, and causes.

Spain Spanish is more eloquent and fancy, using difficult words. Latin American, depends on the country. Every country is different because they tend to take words and phrases from the native languages. Even in Mexico, different states have accents and use different words for the same thing. For popcorn, Mexico says palomitas while Argentina says pururun

I'm learning spanish (my grandmother is mexican). I even move here some months to get into the language.

I'm a native Spanish speaker, and I can assure you that people from Spain use just as much odd slang as people from any part Latin America.

Learn something useful, like Mandarin Chinese, French, or Russian instead. Spanish will only allow you to speak with taco vendors and to understand lyrics in reggaeton.

Should I learn French or Italian?

owo

I'm native too. The Spain Spanish I hear is always from music like Nach, ZPU, and others. They have a much bigger vocabulary, probably because they can afford school

How is French more useful than Spanish?

French. It's got a lot more speakers and loads of more entertainment, high culture, and even scientific papers and all that.
It's spoken in 29 countries spread across 5 continents, many of which are having explosive population growth right now, and which include many of the world's most important economies (France, Canada, Belgium, Algeria).

Welp you got me. Where can I learn French from Spanish? As in Spanish books or sites to learn French

They're not bad, they're just slow. Again, even the second volume of the new French course doesn't use the subjunctive until way in. The older Russian course, by contrast, throws you into unadapted Chekhov around the sixtieth lesson.
