Only during the 1800s really and especially between 1880 and 1914. 1,3 million Swedes emigrated to the midwest during the great emigration. It was lowest point of Swedish history due to Finland being replaced by Norway and several years of population growth, shit weather and famines that made food really scarce in northern Europe. It was a miserable time.
