Lots of people liked the Mad Queen arc, it was just so poorly brought up, like it's supposedly Missandei's death that switched her button, but we did not get a single scene with her where we could witness the "deep bond" and friendship they had, so as a result the audience simply didn't care about Missandei's death, and nobody understood why she went nuts.
