Argentina has the highest rate of psychologists per 1000 peeps. There's an abundance of supply for these services, so they're cheap to hire.
On a side note, our academia of psychology still treats Freud as an actual relevant source today and is probably the only country in the world that considers Lacan to be anything but a charlatan.

I think psychology is going to be on the up here as well, since people are less friendly and approachable than they ever have been before. You either have a long lasting childhood friend or you have no one, finding a true friend in your adult years to confide in is near impossible. To add to that, Americans generally always try escaping their family the first chance they get, so talking with them about personal matters is out of the equation as well.
So who's left to talk to about your problems?

What separates physics and biology from psychology is that they both study physical elements that can simplified in experiments to remove any factors that aren't fully understood.
Eg you can study certain cells by creating a specific environment for them and seeing how they react
The human brain is extremely complicated and there's a huge amount of variation from person to person, as opposed to other organs which all effectively function in the same way. Psychology also doesn't study the physical brain, only its outputs. Currently there's a huge amount of gaps in our knowledge even when it comes to the physical brain itself, and trying to understand the different ways it functions simply by observing how people are is like trying to study astronomy without any telescope or anything. You might observe things that people before haven't, but you'll never reach any substantial knowledge.

My point is that psychology has been around for a while but still hasn't achieved any significant society changing levels of discoveries. Meanwhile in the same amount of time modern medicine has increased the life expectancy of developed countries by two decades (though obviously it depends which country you look at).
