Crypto will never succeed because it is too technologically complex for normies to understand. If we ever have a big run again just think about all the boomers that will get hacked and can't figure out how to set up an actual wallet to protect their funds. Once enough of these people lose all their money with internet money, they will en masse reject the very idea as all a scam anyways. The bigger Bitcoin gets, the closer to failure it will inevitably be.

crypto is pretty simple.

>run calculations
>get a poker chip for your effort
or
>buy poker chip
>pray that fundus arr safeu

You can literally say the exact thing about the internet in the '90s.
Normie adoption comes by developing GUI, inutive UX/UI.
Sending Crypto in the future will not need to handle any Crypto adresses or private keys by yourself like today. It will all happen in the backend

It will become easy to use. Some normies will get hacked, but then they will use hw wallets.

There will be crypto banks. Be your own bank is like hoarding cash. The most retarded risky thing ever.

we dont need boomers. we need a very small fraction of the global elite. that's already happen and WILL happen because it's liquid enough for its current size and its price is uncorrelated to other assets. its international transfer properties and portability are also appealing. there is at least some portion of the global elite that is highly computer literate, and honestly using bitcoin 100% safely doesn't even require very much computer literacy at all. it just requires carefulness, which these people have a lot of. millennial and below is the mindshare that needs to be eventually captured for even wider adoption, but that won't be a concern

Not quite knowing how to use the internet is just sorta confusing at the end of the day for old people. When normies fuck up in crypto, get hacked, mess up sending/recieving money, or losing their wallets it is going to end up being thousands of dollars magically vanishing in thin air.

How do you think some boomer is going to react when they call for help and someone tells them "did you write down your 25 word mnemonic?" That is going to turn into an insta rage quit.

Banks will never succeed because it is too financially complex for normies to understand.

Plenty of services to charge boomers an exorbitant fee they don't care about to take away the complexity and give them a "buy" button

the internet will never succeed because the TCP/IP protocol is too complex for normies to understand it

Computers will never succeed because it's too technologically complex for normies

The banks are doing all the hard work and then just provide them with a card for them to use. Crypto is the exact opposite. Boomers are going to have to be responsible for holding all of their money instead of a bank doing that service for them.

/thread

Once 98% of cryptosphere will collapse and this hyperinflated market will level out we will narrow down to the 5 shitcoins that are not shit and those will change the world.

No, crypto will never succeed because there's no point to use crypto over fiat. It's not even a good substitute. It's a huge downgrade.

>too technologically complex for normies to understand
do you think your average person knows how a car works, a lightbulb works, the fucking internet works?

Fuck off to your normieboard with your onesided thinking

That's not the problem. Main thing right now is barrier to entry (must buy off crypto exchanges with few exceptions) and very limited utility as there aren't many consumer outlets accepting it.

Things looked good for a bit last year but announcements by retailers that they'll accept crypto have dried up.

The difference is that with crypto they will magically lose all their money while they sleep.

literally this
By the time actual adoption rolls around, it's going to look exactly like some sort of $UBI card and nothing at all like Ether Delta. (And it's going not going to be any of your fucking shitcoin vaporware, geniuses.)

There's no reason most people can't use something like Coinbase to make the process extremely simple. Why would normies want their own wallet?

All digital tech is way beyond the understanding level of 99% of the people who use it. Smart people making it simple is how the tech succeeds.

OP is stupid.

This kind of post makes me really sad in that it proves that so many of you fucking insane autists care more about being smart than actually escaping the shitty lives you have.

Crypto isn't about "who is the next dollar" in the same way that AOL didn't EQUAL SIGN the internet. Crypto will be used as a verification system for so many parts of your life that you will never know about. I hope you all make it, but a lot of you definitely don't deserve to. This technology is insanely brilliant, we're all just waiting to see which sectors go for it first.

t. smarter than you

>can't into the difference between blockchain and crypto
>the state of Jow Forums

>Crypto will never succeed because it is too technologically complex for normies to understand.
Just like cars huh? Just like computers huh? Just like the internet huh?

>leaving money on an exchange

Your not going to make it son.

I was 18 once.... ONCE

(thankfully i went to a real university tho)

Very dubious statement and also completely unrelated to what I said. Nobody is impressed with your personal wallet

Uhh... For one thing, I'm 24. For another, I've been in crypto since November, so I kinda know the ropes. How delusional are you? I feel sorry for you, honestly.

>I am in it for the tech, not the money

Stop being a virtue signalling faggot and go back to plebbit. Yes most of us understand how important this tech is, but don't pretend that wanting to get fucking rich by being early adopters is somehow a bad thing. The world runs on money and this tech will only become mainstream when it blows up (in a good way) in a spectacular way like the internet did during the 90s.

>thinking most of you arent normies to begin with.
Cryptos will succeed in many ways, they will also end up being more centralized than you might like. There is no more of a requirement for normies to understand crypto than there is for normies to understand anything else in this world. In order to have an autonomous node in a decentralized system, there must be a person who will take responsibility for the node. The way i see it, crypto gives us an opportunity to get more power to the people who deserve the power and away from normie low life. Start thinking of how you can position yourself to be the one who alleviates the burden of responsibility from these veritable mewling livestock, be a credit to society, and get fucking paid.

CRYPTO WILL NEVER DIE

FIFTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

How does every piece of technology you own work ?

you fucking retard

Virtual wallets are the new fedora.

No, autist, it's nothing similar, in any way. The internet wasn't needed by the average person as a level of complexity they needed to take, to just spend their money, which is what crypto is. Until about 10 years ago, internet access was completely optional for any average person, and unless you needed it for work or hobbies, impacted people in no way.

Crypto will never replace fiat "in the background". You're a deluded retard if you think it will. There is no business case at all for that happening, except "Do this so some cryptofags can make money from it", it offers no benefit to any consumer or company, and solves no problems that exist.

>there aren't many consumer outlets accepting it.
In 5 years, the totals of crypto being used for transactions went from 270 million to 60 million.

But the cryptofags still bellow and bleat about adoption happening, lol.

this has to be a larp

The blockchain will be adopted at some level, yes. It's not as magical as the cryptoNEETs here think it is, but Microsoft and Accenture are pimping their Azure shit pretty hard, so there will be some adoption. But as a currency? That ship already sank, the entire businessworld looked at it, laughed, and said "Thanks for the meeting, we'll pass." Same for investments.

8 WHOLE months? Whoa, look at the big brain on user! He's an EXPERT! Better not cock your fedora at him!

>Cryptos will succeed in many ways
Name one.

We'll wait.

why are you being rude dude jeez

Why are you being so retarded, jeez.

come on man let's not be nasty

Come on man, let's not be retarded.

Here for the screencap :)

the perfect niche for some entrepreneurial NEET

This, we only need billionaires escaping from taxes and the failing welfare states, then smart people will follow and dumb people will be left behind, but nobody will miss them anyways.

>Tell me something i want to hear.
By replacing fiat with state controlled crypto that does pretty much everything that fiat does plus a few things. Having perfect secrecy when used by spooks, elites, etc. Providing perfect traceability and confiscability when used by people like yourself.
