Political party give an ordered list with all their candidates (which must be equal to the numbers of deputies France can have so like 7x, with sex parity and one men one woman (so you don't put all the women at the end of the list lmao))
Then it's a proportional election, that's why our far right gets a lot of seat, since in other election everyone gang up on them in the second round.
People at the end of list have no chance of being elected and you pretty much know who will.

Not totally related, but I've said before that next week we'll also be voting for the Local Councils, and apparently there was some towns that were not going to have a LC election due to lack of candidates
but then Labour pumped in some new candidates and blamed the opposition for their lack of candidates. Mdina won't be having a LC election because they just couldn't get enough candidates.
