Whatever, Detroit still has the best pizza in the US.

China is rising and the us is collapsing
Lets celebrate

Detroit's a shithole but you did a complete apples to oranges comparison.

Industry left Detroit and went to China. Because it's cheaper.

Didn't their largest source of jobs/income basically leave everyone for dead the moment they could offshore work? That's Detroit, right: former hub of Ford and General Motors manufacturing?

Don't pretend China isn't Africa tier outside of a few cities. Those insects literally abadoned entire cities.

Better than the Soulless usa cities

They have been filling up recently tho.

That look pretty soulless

Mostly due to international car companies taking all the jobs from people in Detroit during the 60s and 70s. Detroit lived off the car industry, but then these Japanese and German cars came along and ruined it. I should know, my mother is from Detroit

It's the rust belt so yeah but a lot of the manufacturers werent in Detroit but surrounding areas.
So you're saying an empty city with no vegetation and bland ugly buildings has soul? Right.

Yes. The Ford Motor Company established a manufactory in Detroit, which had employed the bulk of the population who lived there. The core of Detroit may be flourishing now, but the periphery surrounding the city was plunged into a state of decay and the people into a state of extreme destitution, all of this caused by Ford replacing the bulk of the workforce in these automotive factories with robots or out-sourcing the assembly of their vehicles elsewhere. I think Detroit is a testament to the kind of potential damage automation can cause, when thousands of people are replaced by robots they fall into poverty and when you are down-and-out you will do anything to survive.

Well..........Its over Amerifat

Hes proving posting some nice pictures of a country doesnt tell you anything about the country or the average standard of living of its citizens. Everywhere has beautiful places.

Because of Japan
