General for the discussion and admiration of Afghan culture, history, politics and nature.

Why is this not the reality?
They'd have been betters as buddhists.
Both Indians and Pakistanis seethe at the image
Buddhism is NOT compatible with Afghan culture, hence it got exterminated from the lands of Ariana with remarkable quickness
What about Tajikistan? Aren't there many Tajiks in Afghanistan already?
Pastuns are 42% and Tajiks are 33%
Why does Kashmir have Jammu and Ladhkh too?
Persian-speaking Afghans are called Tajiks for some reason, but they don't refer to themselves as Tajik (usually they call themselves Farsiwan - Persian speakers). Obviously there exists a linguistic connection between Afghan Tajiks and Tajikistanis.
Reparations in the form of lands
bump
They give us guns and drugs

Pashtuns are Aryan, is this why Mutts hate them?
almost 2 decades of NATO ganging up on these men, yet they are only getting stronger
the most powerful race?
well the actual reason might be the fast and exponential growth of population
not the reason

>Baluch city
u wot?
Also add the Iranian part of Baluchistan to the map as Baluch people are Afghans.
baluch people are baluch, not afghan
Hope you get that yellow one mate
Afghans are the people that rebelled against the Safavids in the 18th century. They were the sunni tribesmen in the eastern part of the empire, aka they were the Pashtuns and the Baluch. Those were the people that created Afghanistan and are the "Afghans".
Ah yes, thanks to the great afghan culture there exists something called "burka". Truly visionaries
What happens here?
Baluch are balochi my friend. There are baluchis in afghanistan, but not all balochis are afghan, some are iranian or pakistani.
burka is actually an iranian persian invention called the pardah
I meant they are Afghan culturally not by nationality. I mean they are tribal as opposed to being city dwellers like the Iranians or the Pakis. Would I be correct to assume they are culturally Afghans?
warum essen deutsche """menschen""" so viel scheisse?
shepherds, mountains, isolation
The ones living in afghanistan are culturally the same as everybody else in afghanistan. The ones in iran/pakistan share more in culture with iran/pakistan. Simple as.
wot. Then what was their historical state? I will get to the bottom of this. What's their origin or race?
All people groups have a their own culture. And those borders are very modern. Too recent desu.
I can explain it to you rather simply.
Iranian/Iranic peoples include: Persians, Tajiks, Baluchis, Kurds, Pashtuns, Pamiris and a few others.
Iranian (nationality) includes: persians, lurs, azeris, baluchis, kurds, arabs, etc (any ethnic group within modern day iran basically).
Afghan (nationality) includes: Pashtuns, Tajiks, Baluchis, Hazaras, Uzbeks, Pamiris etc.
The term afghan historically was meant to refer to the pashtuns (not all iirc, but only of a certain part of the country), the term now refers to anyone from afghanistan.
Does this clear things up a little?
I don't think ethnic baluchis had a historical state such that a baluchi started a dynasty or whatever.
oh ok cool thanks
goodnight /Afghan/s
based, good night
Question: are most Afghans living in Europe Hazaras? From what I can tell all of our Afghan are from the Pashtun and Tajik caste.
A lot of afghan refugees in germany and sweden in particular are hazaras, not many elsewhere aside from australia.
Nah, it's the utter incompetence of the Afghan army and police force, combined with the terrain they are fighting on. Taliban remain one of the only undefeated army after almost 20 years of war with NATO forces.
One of the last remnants of the Great Game
Could Pakistan hold off an Indian invasion?
I think they could but it's irrelevant since they have nukes so there won't ever be another invasion.
