Haven't touched Google vms in months, but the best setup used to be the 16vCPU low ram ones you can run 4x instances. Should net 70-75kh/s per instance.
Azure i really cant remember think i ran 4x 4vCPU instances on there. (20-25kh/s per?)
Alibaba + Aws also offer a free trial, but both pretty much suck.

Also remember to specify skylake architecture for your cpus otherwise you will get older cpus and lower hashrates.
Join a pool. solo mining is not worth it unless you have 500+ kh/s. Official discord have several chatrooms for potential pools.

I always had mine running at 100%, just remember to upgrade account from trial to standard edition. you get to keep the 300$.
4x 16cpus will last you 4-5 days so i went with full throttle, don't know if anything has changed since then though so it might be smart to run at 80-90% to avoid detection not sure.

They give 300$ free trial on their platform for you to test out their VM's. Just remember to upgrade from trial to standard edition if you want to mine crypto otherwise they will shut it down pretty fast.
Doesn't earn you much per month, but allows you to pick up a pretty decent stack of Nimiq (NIM) for a mid-long term hodl. Free money, getting in on the absolute bottom of a legit project that has a chance to 100x and is not run by pajeets or chinks.
