In Finland both smoked and baked salmon is very popular and usually served with boiled or mashed potatoes

Personally I like cold smoked salmon with mashed potatoes the most.

Salmon should only be eaten raw or smoked.

I too prefer it smoked but it really needs to be baked if you want to flavor it with spices, juice of lemon etc.

it is quite popular, although I tend to avoid Norwegian ones as they are breeded in terrible conditions. I buy Amerian ones from Alaska when I can.

I live on a river, they come up the river every autumn.
They are in the river for about 2 or 3 months.
I catch many, but I let most go, I smoke some and bake the rest.

It is. Specially in the southern part of the country. My favourite Salmon recipe would have to be a Cancato.
It's mainly tomato slices, chorizo, onions, cheese and the Salmon. Either grilled or baked in an oven with a tin foil
