Here's my problem:

Here's my problem:

My partner and I run a business in China. We specialize in injection molding and product sourcing (we're both engineers). My partner and I are always having the discussion: we can literally make so many items, yet the only items we make are ones our clients want. Ideally, we would launch or own product, manufacture our own molds, packaging, and trademarks. The problem is, we're too uncreative to do this!

We have several very good clients who have been happy with our services for over a year now. However, we only get a portion of what they're making on the retail market.

Are there any smart anons out there that have an idea of something to import from China, or manufacture ourselves that will sell well?

I am not a greedy man. I'm very content with the money we make from our company... but if there are people out there who can push us to the next level, I would gladly split anything equally.

This is not a troll post. Legit injection mold specialist with too much "left brain" and not enough of the creative part.

me want for force super models through that think while they still alive

You can always make some grinders that are flexible so all the cannabis product can be extracted from it. Or perhaps cutting boards, or maybe phone cases? Or replacement components for things that break often can't really think of one off the top my head. Why don't you try find start ups that are trying to create prototypes?

Even look at what's incredibly popular and that won't interfere with your existing clients and try and copy/improve it in some way.

What type molding? ABS, Nylon, PEEK? Glass fiber?

lmfao. i love these replies.

Mostly ABS. But we have some factories we've worked with who assist us in projects that we're unfamiliar with.

I'm a low-tier exec for a semiconductor test company, and we're looking to expand manufacturing into China over the next couple years or so. Do you have a burner email? I could think of some potential applications in our industry and send them to you for your consideration.

I am a certified manufacturing technologist with an injection molded design (microwave reflector dish antenna with bracket) under my belt, but am currently working in another field. I have some ideas (which im pretty protective of) and could easily come up with some new ideas with the proper financial motivation. Definitely the creative type though, let's figure something out.

How mold are project take in accounting that the polymer will shrink? What simulation software are use for that?

Most shrinkage is pretty negligible. We do account for it our design and feasibility stages.

Have had to renew your cmfgt yet? I haven’t done anything towards the continuing education credits.

Do you use solidworks to project the mold and moldflow to make the channels? What steel is used to produce the mold?

MoldWorks works pretty good for projecting how the cavity will fill, but is a pretty overpriced add-on for Solidworks when you consider that most of that stuff you can predict an plan for by following some injection molding design rules. I think it would be more useful for balancing multi-cavity molds than just checking how a single cavity mold fills because of this.

You might be onto something there. :P

Warhammer 40k models.

There are a few chinese people that do such things but if you can do better itll sell

Hey user!

Injection molding specialist here as well. Have a BSc and MSc in chemical and plastic manufacturing. If you ever want to discuss, hit me up with a "Wash" gmail.

Anyways i would suggest the following ideas:

>Collecting 2nd grade plastics as in trash plastic. Some companies would PAY YOU to take in trash plastics. Then sort them, shred them to "d=1mm" and add additives + some virgin plastic to create new products. You could create packaging products like black plastic in such a case. Add coal to get the black color. You also would probably need to add the virgin plastic because the MFI might be too low for a standard. The good part is that basically if you find companies who would pay you to take the plastic trash, your product is basically being paid to produce.
>Create plastic containers for food. This is more costly than the 1st part but the great part is that you can reuse leftover material (even from products that dont pass QC). So basically the products that are faulty, you shred them again to the size of the pellets you are using as raw material and reuse. Logically speaking you should be able to be 99% effective with no loss of material. What kind of plastic containers? I mean like those what is used to store cakes, food yadiyada. Just buy your regular plastic container cake from a shop and mimic it. Ez money.
>Plastic containers for medicine and storing items. You get the jist, basically the same as previous but a different usage.

There are many appliances you could do. IMO just go to your local shop and scan around what is there. You need to think about mass when producing plastic products. Quality is quite pointless with plastic. Usually its already 30% virgin, 30% 2nd grade and 40% additives like coal, clay etc. Getting the production cost as low as you can + producing in masses is the way.

Make the enclosures for the new Monero hardware wallets! I'm pretty sure they're still looking for somebody to do it.
