What Allah's will is is written in the Quran.
We act according to it, the result is up to him.
An important rule someone who has faith has to keep in mind:
What we expect is when we act righteous, our situation improves and when we act false, our situation worsens.
But Allah tests his servants and worsens their situation when they act right and improves their situation when they act wrong. On this occasion the servant has to be patient and may not fall into sinful/wrong acts.
Example to the first situation
1.Opening a restaurant .
2. Have the Idea of creating a prayer room
3. Your financial situation improves, more customers.
Example to the second situation
1.Opening a restaurant
2.Go bankrupt.
3. Decide to act sinful and start to sell alcohol.
4. Your financial situation improves.
Note that the term improving/worening is only meant to worldly affairs.
