What do you mean by transform btc itself?
If you refer to the fact that it could use Skycoin ecosystem, taken in consideration that PoW and PoS platform is having trouble with descentralization, than yeah, maybe.

no it cannot in today's conditions. Btc will get replaced by the first crypto who's solving the issues with the most mature solutions. This together with future changes related to fiat cash (ppl loosing trust, check out Venezuela) will be seeking alternatives. That's why real life solutions-oriented crypto will become the 1st worldwide cryptocurrency and btc is not fully accomplishing it

I prefer to consider that sky is not replaceming, is something different, and will bring something new and innovative. Replacement doesn't necessarily means something better...

Probably not. Bitcoin's miners hold too much power and will prevent BTC from ever moving away from POW.
