NO, you idiot. That's not what happened. The report about crime among asylum seekers manipulated the facts by putting such crimes as rape or murder under the "other" category. Because they're so trivial that they can easily be put under the "other" category, right? It's not as if these are the primary two crimes that cause worry about asylum seekers.

You can't really compare crime rates between countries unless they have at least moderately comparable legal standards.
Like marital rape doesn't exist in most countries, it's not counted toward rape cases. Most cases of rapes don't even get reported due to different definitions or out of fear from the police/government/husband/family.
Interestingly enough, the increase in rape complaints can, at least in Austria, be explained by looking at the increasing number of female refugees convicting their husbands for marital rape.
That would explain how the amount of rape complaints skyrocketed while the percentage of documented rapes from complete strangers or non-related acquaintances haven't increased.
