Fallout 3 had a karma system and gave you multiple branching options on most quests than just give you faction-exclusive quests lol.
But it’s not. Fallout 4 is still a really good game and the most stable Bethesda title, so it’s a sigh they’re improving.
No, 76 isn’t bad either. It had a bad start, but so did ESO, and look at all the content and revenue it gets now.

The karma system is completely broken you can bomb an entire city and then give a thousand cash to some guy leading at church and you can be completely forgiven.

Regardless Fallout 3 still has major problems.
It baffles me it managed to get the best writing award when most of the writing in this game is absolute trash.
You can literally tell the robot antagonist to commit suicide if you have high IQ.

It's engine is more stable and allows better power armor but that's about it. Hard to care about it's characters or main story.
I don't know, it had bad RPG elements and a bad story, but I think it had good gameplay. I went fully autistic with the settlement builder.
NV > 3 >>> 4
4 is only good if you play on survival and mod the away the bullet sponges.
Currently playing Far Harbor and it's fun 8/10

Everything about 3 is terrible. The game was developed by a triple A company with a lot of budget and little time constraints and all they could come up with was a broken engine full of laughable issues.
Story is fucking terrible, the writing sucks, the visuals are terrible, the shooting is shit, the game is way too easy. The main quests are extremely straightforward, only side quests have some diversity added to them. It only becomes fun after you've added a pile of mods on it.
