Canada has really good soldiers though, actually they might be better than ours
Yet they talk shit to us.
Yeah but they're based.

Would you recommend joining the military to someone in their early 20s with limited career options?
People should view the CAF as a NATO commitment rather an actual defense force. Our budget is just not large enough to compete with even regional powers like Russia or France(if they didn't use nukes even).
We do however, have some of the best trained troops overall. Because training cities fresh off the streets is expensive we often retrain current members on MANY different skills courses. I've known of an officer who started in NWO (trade of all skippers) and then switched to intelligence and finally personnel selection.
It's become a running joke how fast trade change paperwork is processed to stop releases.
I can't speak for the Canadian military, but I'm sure there are more similarities with the US when looking at it from your perspective. With that being said, I would not join unless you get the occupation you 100% want. For example, right now in the US there is a huge need for cyber security analysts in some of the branches. It requires a TS security clearance, which can open many doors for a career when you get out of the military. Don't pick something that has no application in the civilian world, but at the same time pick something you WANT to do both in the military and for when you get out of the military. Do lots of research and it doesn't hurt to talk to multiple recruiters because some are expert manipulators to see their quota, while some are genuine and what to place you where you want to be.
As an immigrant I would never join such a cucked armed forces you fags wonts even stand a chance against iran or let alone russia.
>muh training
mandatory feminism courses doesnt count. real training is when throw you in the middle of the ocean and make you swim back
If you only have a high school degree it's probably the best money you'll make honestly outside of trade school. Be smart about it and take a trade that is transferable to civilian life like any tech position. If you go combat arms you will likely develop back and knee problems prematurely. What trade were you looking at?
I got an instrumentation engineering tech diploma and bachelors in comp sci what position can I get that isnt on the front lines
Hiro sends his thanks for your $20 so you can post on your proxy, faggot.
So many. If you want to guarantee no combat take navy or chairforce trades. Did you want to go enlisted or officer.
Why did you type the first a in reasonable like that?

I would do navy but the submarines are shitty old and dangerous.
You have to want to go on subs usually. Navy is definitely the most traditions based of the branches. A lot of fun stuff I hear.
Thankfully America protects us for FUCKING FREE HAHAHAHAHA American taxpayer money goes towards protecting us holy fuck imagine being American.
also I do have naval experience in the US Navy as radar operator on board the USS Mason mainly operating AEGIS systems and anti ballistic missile detection.
Ya we have an equivalent trade, but you probably know more about the job then I do.
>actually they might be better than ours
There are amazonian tribes with better soldiers than the US ones. The overwhelming majority of your soldiers only exist to soak bullets until the marines/special forces arrive, who are the only ones with real training.
imaging being a utility company and being able to cut off electricity whenever the tenant pisses you off
that's exactly what we can do to you if you betray us geopolitically on China.
