LINKIES BTFO
state of no linkers. not even knowing what does and still fud'n with something that isn't even a competitor.
Enigma is doing something very similar partnering with Intel to use their hardware. This should be an interesting competition.

>Ethereum and similar smart-contract systems have limited utility for two main reasons, according to Song. First, the network’s rules generally require that every node execute every smart contract—that’s how the network reaches consensus. “Even when you have 100,000 nodes, the capacity of the network is still the same as one node,” she says. That severely constrains its performance. Second, today’s smart contracts can’t assure the confidentiality of sensitive data. Blockchains were built to be transparent! That’s why so many theoretical blockchain applications are still stuck on the drawing board.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ABSOLUTELY FUCKING BTFO WHY OH WHYYYYYYYYYY DID I EVER FUCKING LISTEN TO BASEMENT DWELLING CHEETO EATING NEETS ON BIZ AAAAAAAAAAA FUCKKKKKK
>Ari Juels involved
>same people behind chainlink also pushing Oasis Labs
5k EOY
>today’s smart contracts can’t assure the confidentiality of sensitive data.
but ChainLink is tomorrow's smart contract
now, this is a team to keep an eye on.
this is more enigma fags btfo than chainlink
the absolute state of /biz I truly understand how stupid is place is, thanks for revelation, user.
>Ari Juels, a computer science professor at Cornell Tech who coauthored the new research paper but is not affiliated with Oasis Labs, says the approach is the most practical way to make more useful smart-contract applications possible. Without the help of trusted hardware, he argues, blockchains may not “realize their full potential.”
>technologyreview.com
Seems like he's leaving for greener pastures.
>the first confidentiality-preserving smart contract system that can perform thousands of transactions per second.
>a system that addresses blockchains lack of confidentiality and poor performance by combining blockchains with Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs)
>smart contracts deployed on Ediken are endowed with strong confidentiality, integrity and availability guarantee. Ekiden achieves these properties with ahybrid architecture combining trusted hardware and the blockchain
>there are three types of entities in Ekiden: Clients, compute nodesand consensus nodes
>it relies on efficient proofs of publication that prove to a contract TEE that an item has been stored in the blockchain.
This looks exactly what Big Corp would be interested in:
- genius developers with impecable track record
- closed source frameworks working with any blockchain
- emphasis on best possible security
- high scalability
- big name VC's, Binance, etc. all on a private acess
WTF someone debunk this NOW
Remember when people were posting the same shit about Vechains Oracle? Kys kikes you arent getting my linkies.
it must be painful being this retarded. LINK 0 EOY
>First, the network’s rules generally require that every node execute every smart contract...
Holy fuck she’s literally taking about the Chainlink network and just savaged it
Tfw u own both..50/50 on ur crypto holdings.
COMFY AS FUVK..1K EOY
Seriously guys ask yourself this. Who would you invest in, a fucking autistic Slav philosophy major with a track record of leaving when things don't work out (see NXT), or a well-known computer science professor at UC Berkeley and a MacArthur fellow (as well as one of MIT Technology Review’s 35 Innovators Under 35 in 2009)?
Nice! What was the minimum entry for Ekiden's IPO?
Fugg
It was my turn.... God damn it all. Why the fuck did I trust my life savings to a cuck and a fat mother fucking Russian
FUCK
U

I’m the user that found the article. I read it a while ago and was gonna post about it but I assumed you NEETs already knew about it considering it wss in the fucking MIT tech review. WTF anons! This compromises my trust in your abilities as private investigators and FUD poets.
then sell link and buy that other trash. What is your problem? why you're so worried about other people's money? the price getting to high and your faggot admin from discord send you here? fuck off
already sold, worst investment in my life
>people.eecs.berkeley.edu
The amount of paper she publishes is insane. How does she do it
Lel was referring to Enigma and Link...Biz got me paranoid about clicking links..My Bad !
Is this competition to Link? If so wtf Ari Juels doing? Non competence clause?
>Ari Juels
Oh shit. Wtf
Oh no :-(
And of course I JUST fucking bought in finally, and now it's probably fucked. God fucking dammit.
dude has yellow fever, that's all it took for him to betray all of us
Ohhhh naaawwwwww! ;(((
Sell and fuck off
Skimmed over the whitepaper and they specifically mention that their secure smart contracts are implemented using SGX right now, though they 'may use any [trusted execution environment]' .
We already know Chainlink can utilize SGX, likely for similar reasons as this project. I would expect the link team could develop new adapters for other TEEs if necessary, just like this Oasis team seems to be planning.
Right now this strikes me more as some affirmative action bolstered johnny-come-latelys trying to catch the caboose of the gravy train, rather than a total BTFO of Link.
She's talking about ETH, brainlets.
And what she's saying does not apply to Chainlink at all. Chainlink's oracles work off-chain. That's why they're oracles.
The absolute state of nolinkers, lmao.
I'm sorry but if you can't see how this completely fucks CL, I've got nothing for you. Did you miss the part where this came out of MIT? In what world does a NEET philosophy major come up with a technology that beats something coming out of the most prestigious engineering school on the entire fucking planet...
then go and buy your prestigious project you faggot.
I remember the same type of fudders came here in talking how Corda is gonna btfo LINK, then mobius, then some other trash.
Just sell if you have any and fuck off
Check out her research paper:
arxiv.org
ctrl+f "oracle": 1 result.
If you think this is in any way a competitor to Chainlink, you're a trenchbrain.
Her solution is a secure hardware enclave, which Chainlink also offers.
MIT has a ton of failed ideas and businesses that have come out of it. Why do you act like the school you went to has anything to do with your ability to build a successful business? Steve Jobs went to Reed college and he built the biggest business in the world. These illogical arguments you kids make are infuriating.
so you put your trust into a black box developed by a private entity. defeats the whole purpose of decentralization
Pic related
>CL is useless
Exactly. Chainlink is a bigger picture. Stop the weak FUDs
>discord niggers trying oh so hard to dump the price
you missed your entry point, too bad retards. this aint ever going down.
this, couldn't be more obvious and I don't care if link dips in the next few days, if it does, whatever but I hope it doesn't just to see those faggots even more desperate
>from ekiden's whitepaper
>Ekiden uses compute nodes to perform smart contract computation
over private data off chain in TEEs, then attest to their correct
execution on chain. The underlying blockchain is maintained by
consensus nodes, which need not use trusted hardware. Ekiden is
agnostic to consensus-layer mechanics, only requiring a blockchain
capable of validating remote attestations from compute nodes. Ekiden
can thus scale consensus and compute nodes independently
according to performance and security needs
They are going for the same thing Chainlink are trying to do, but using 'nodes' instead of 'oracles' as the nomenclature of choice.
The only references I can find to MIT regarding this project are that Oasis collaborated in some way with them on Keystone Enclave. I don't see anything suggesting this project was born out of MIT, unless you care to share some sources that I missed.
Other than that, it's just that the CEO was on some bullshit '## AMAZING ____ under y.o.' list put out by MIT.
And in any case, see .

>They are going for the same thing Chainlink are trying to do, but using 'nodes' instead of 'oracles' as the nomenclature of choice.
Pfffhahaha you have no clue what you're talking about.
Chainlink uses "nodes" the same way as Ekiden, but Ekiden only uses hardware enclaves off-chain, while Chainlink does decentralized oracles AND hardware enclaves off-chain.
he's wrong. Computing smart contracts is what ethereum does (and link can work with any blockchain available, private or public). Oracles only feed data to those smart contracts.
all this fud is run by a few desperate pajeets from discord
Just sold cl
Where can i buy this
in your mums ass

Her hardware solution will utilize the link token. They work in conjunction with one another. Hence why Ari is on board. She is one of Sergey’s partners. And he probably has sex with her as well.
HAHAHAHAHA. Im sorry Sergey may have been a philospher but at least he seems to have better communication skills and can present very well compared to this.
>1 post by this ID
Its typical for shitposters to make one post with one ID and then spend the rest of the thread shitposting under several different IDs to when they talk themselves into a corner on one they can just move to another. It also lets them pretend to not be the OP so they don't have to answer for anything the OP said or did.
Its basically just a turbo faggot being a turbo faggot.
Traitor!
Chainlink kills the swing trader.
When I hear her talk I get a strong urge to order some general tsao's chicken.
Yes. Hes a traitor.
Hes working on an engima like project\blockchain with a co director of IC3 which has a partnership with Chainlink which is the only blockchain agnostic solution to the oracle problem.
Like seriously, Link with enigma is like the best solution. Why they don't just fucking partnership together???? This is the the most logical thing to do.
This project and LINK do not seek to do the same thing in any capacity. Really, Oasis Labs' project is a direct competitor to Ethereum or other smartcontract ready blockchains like ADA or NEO. Chainlink is NOT A FUCKING BLOCKCHAIN PROTOCOL FOR SMART CONTRACTS. It's middleware for interfacing between smart contract platforms and existing data API. That's it. There is no way this project "fucks CL". In fact, CL's oracle is currently being developed to run in a secure execution environment, the same as the one being described by Song and exemplified/developed by Ari Juels. It is entirely possible that this Oasis blockchain will be able to leverage the chainlink oracle network. It's not a competitor.
WHY ISNT LINK DUMPING
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
How the fuck do I invest in this Oasis bullshit

>use this as copypasta everywhere to kill this FUD
by fudding link, judging by the behavior of pejeets on biz for the last few hours
The point is actually that both are fucking god tier projects.
Oasis Labs and Chainlink are both the new bluechip tokens.
god crypto is the new crash garb scam.
This is dreadful. Sergey is a beast
What the fuck. I didn't understand a single word that chink said
>people still think sergey is the one behind programming all of LINK and hasnt hired a whole team of elite programmers
how is biz this retarded? Sergey is literally the steve jobs of chainlink. Hell, im pretty sure streve jobs was into philosphy too
I've never been in a token sale before.
Is it that you for example have to have 10ETH to participate?
