I'm not a fan of Egyptology but from what I read, they were very good administrators and the royal court would dedicate most of their efforts to ensure the pyramid were constructed while the Paraoh was still alive. They managed to do this because the age of the Pyramids was quite peaceful. Also who built the pyramids weren't slaves but rather paid construction workers organised into "gangs" (not the criminal definition but rather like a construction company). They settled and lived around the pyramid, 3 generations within a family would work on the same pyramid. The entire nation was centered around the Paraoh, they saw him as a living God and that's why they would dedicate themselves like this.
Oh yeah, and it's probably worth mentioning that they have been building pyramids for centuries before the Giza one. They had improved their administration and building skills a lot by this point.

I hate to be the one to educate you, but: This statue was done in marble. Marble is way softer than granite. And it was probably done with tools made of steel.

Cutting granite is an extremely hard endeavor even with the technology we have today. Not even diamond-tipped drills and other similar machinery can hold out for long before giving out. Tell me how it is possible to even dent granite with COPPER TOOLS.
